Don Kathey Layla and Anna joined Grover and I on an incredible trail ride. Those girls are a hoot. Made some awesome memories on and off the trail today.

I remember... I say this still with tears flowing down my face because I remember where I was on this day in 2001. I was at work and Kaeli was in kindergarten when I heard the news and realized what was going on .I wanted to go grab her and hold her. I figured if we were going to face death I was going to have her in my arms comforting her. I called the school and they said I could come get her if I wanted to but in the school they were not talking about what was going on in the world they were focusing on what they were learning in school. At that point I knew That her teachers could take better care of her and keep her mind off of what was going on than I could so I stayed at work frightened with the rest of the people I worked with. The school assured me that they would have a safe place for her so after I left work I went to get her and continued on the best I could with not bringing the outside world in and keeping the TV off and just loving her spending time with her knowing anything could happen at any given moment. I will never forget that day. Thanking God for the first responders, our military and our teachers for knowing what to do and doing their best to keep us all safe. To the people who lost their lives, you will never be forgotten.
