The Alleghany Gun Club

The annual meeting is May 7th at 7:30 pm. If you haven't paid your dues, they are due by Thursday. Otherwise you have to reapply for membership. We will be electing officers at this meeting as well.

Our next meeting is March 5th at 7:30 pm. Sheriff Kyle Moore has accepted an invitation to attend and discuss the upcoming new gun laws/ bans and our 2nd amendment sanctuary status. Please plan to attend and hopefully we'll have a good, informative meeting.

No meeting this month since it falls on a holiday. Happy New Year everyone.

Remember the range is now closed until December 14th. The cameras are active still. Good luck to everyone hunting.

The range will be closed starting Friday November 14th and will remain closed until Sunday December 14th. This is the Virginia general fi****ms season. Yes it is longer than the 2 weeks in the rules,but this was changed at the last meeting. Good luck everyone.

The pistol range is looking a little different now. Hopefully we can get it finished off soon.

The match scheduled for today went about as I figured. Out of close to 100 folks invited, 3 showed up. Unfortunately 1 had his vehicle break down on the way in, so 2 actually made the match.Maybe next year.

Well it was a good night for a redneck match. We had 7 folks show up. We ended up having a shoot off for first place, as Chris Hampton and Donnie Whitt both shot a 45. Chris won the shoot off hitting a turkey head at 100 yards, taking first. Donnie took second place and Allen Lodge took 3rd with a 38. This is the only one for the year, so hopefully next year we can have a few more. Thanks to everyone who attended!!

5 trail cameras for sale. Offering to club members first. Spartan brand, they have U.S. Cellular Sim cards at the moment, might be able to get new ones from Spartan. If interested contact the club president.
