PaPa’s Racing

After several weeks of rainouts PaPa’s racing was back on track this weekend. Not the night we wanted.
JJ was fast in hot laps, kart felt great. Then blew a head gasket in the heat race. Done for the night.
PaPa was looking good in the heat, made a pass to move into 2nd and then spun out. Ended up P4. Ended the night with a P5 finish in the feature.
We’ll get everything ready and hopefully get back on track next weekend.

First race of the season was a struggle to say the least. Bentley drove hard but the kart is just not same since the wreck last season. Got some work to do.
JJ did decent for his first night in a stock appearing hot rod. He ran 3rd in his heat and was running 5th in the feature when it started cutting out so he pulled off so he wouldn’t destroy the motor.
Papa struggled with an ill handling kart all night but managed to outlast a lot of drivers to place 3rd in the feature.
We will keep working and be back stronger for next race.

We cleaned up at the race banquet today. JJ track champion, papa 3rd. And Bentley 4th in jr2.
