Cranston Herald: Cannon salutes were fired Saturday morning at Edgewood Yacht Club in Cranston as members gathered to officially open the club for the 2026 summer season. Keeping tradition with the annual ceremony, the Pawtuxet Rangers led the charge down the docks with their Revolution-era music, flags and fi****ms. Each of the flag officers, top members of the club’s volunteer leadership board, raised their flags on the dock flagpole to mark the beginning of a new season. Club members were joined by Cranston Mayor Kenneth Hopkins, Representative Joseph McNamara and State Representative Chris Paplauskas. With sunny skies and fair winds all day, the festivities continued into the evening with live music and a strong sense of community.
