Choosing child care is a big decision. Weโre here to make it feel a little easier.
At the Greater Providence Y, our early learning centers offer more than a classroom. Children are cared for by nurturing staff, supported through age-appropriate learning, and encouraged to grow socially, emotionally, and academically.
Enrollment is available at our early learning centers in Seekonk, Providence, and South County.

Mental health is for everyone.
Mental well-being is shaped by more than whatโs happening in our minds.
Itโs influenced by external factors too, like access to food, stable housing, a sense of belonging, and strong community connections.
At the YMCA, we believe mental health belongs to everyone, and
Everyone deserves support.

Water Smart Rule # 5: Donโt Hold Your Breath (literally)
Breath-holding contests? Yeah, letโs not. They might seem like harmless fun, but breath-holding games in the water can be seriously dangerous, even for strong swimmers.
Holding your breath too long can lead to shallow water blackout, a silent and sudden emergency that can happen without warning.
At the Y, we teach that water safety isnโt just about swimming, itโs about smart choices.
So, skip the contests, and keep the fun safe for everyone.
