After years away from sports, Hannah Little remembered how much she loved swimming. 🏊

Coming back was hard at first. At the Y, she found instructors who paid attention, offered adjustments, and helped her discover how much she could do. πŸ’ͺ

Then she started seeing the same faces every time she came in.

"Just knowing that we're all kind of here doing it together, it feels less lonely."

What began as getting moving again became a familiar part of her week, surrounded by people she recognized.

Your gift can help someone else find that support when they're ready to try again. 🌊

🌟 Staff Spotlight:Celebrating Ms. Judy! 🌟

Today, we proudly celebrate Ms. Judy’s 14-year anniversary with the Greater Providence YMCA! πŸŽ‰πŸ’™

Ms. Judy’s journey began as a Y member. Just a few months later, she joined the Kent County YMCA as a Welcome Center Representative and later transferred to the Cranston YMCA. Today, she continues to serve and make a difference at both locations.

Thank you, Ms. Judy, for making everyone who walks through our doors feel welcomed, valued, and that they belong. ❀️ Your 14 years of service, kindness, and dedication to our members, families, community, and the Y are truly appreciated.

πŸŽ‰ Congratulations on 14 incredible years, Ms. Judy!

πŸ’¬ Share your favorite memory or tell us how you met Ms. Judy!

At 50, Mark Roby set a goal to run a half marathon. πŸƒ

Fifteen years after joining the Kent County Y, what he talks about most is the people who helped him along the way.

John has been Mark's trainer for more than a decade. Mark credits their strength training with helping him complete the miles, but over the years, John also became a close friend.

"It's the people that I've met and the experiences that I've had with those people. That's probably been the most important part of achieving those milestones."

Someone kept showing up for Mark. Your gift can help put that same steady support beside someone else's next goal.

For 173 years, stories like these have been possible because someone chose to care.
Today, you can be the reason someone's Y story begins. Your gift helps children learn and grow, gives families access to programs they may not otherwise be able to afford, and helps people of all ages find connection and belonging.
