With heavy hearts, we say goodbye to a dear, dear friend — Father Ron Bengford.

For more than 30 years, Father Ron was part of our family. He shared our table at Christmas and Thanksgiving, celebrated with us, laughed with us, and always walked into the store with that smile and a kind word for everyone. He wasn't just the pastor at St. Matthew Parish down the road in Cranston — he was one of us.

Father Ron touched more lives in this community than we can count, including ours, every single day.

Rest in peace, Father Ron. We love you, and we will never forget you. Please keep his family and the St. Matthew community in your prayers.

On behalf of myself and my family — my wife Kim, my son Steven, and my daughter-in-law Alexandra — and the entire 2nd Time Around Sports family, we will miss you.
