The Catholic Ahletic League celebrates the feast of St. Sebastian, patron saint of athletes.
Known for being uncompromising in his faith, this third century saint courageously helped persecuted Christians, shared the Christian faith with Roman soldiers, and died a martyr. It is said the first attempt to kill him failed as his body was strong and withstood the arrows that were shot at him while he was tied to a tree. St. Sebastian, pray for us!
