Well all, today's that day ! 30 years ago on this date, September 7th 1994, I took the biggest scariest step of my life and turned my dream into a reality. I opened up Goin' Under Dive Services to provide professional Scuba training unlike any other facility has ever offered. Private one on one training for you or your small group, all equipment, mask, fins, boots, wetsuits, BCD, regulators, weights and tanks furnished throughout your training and check out dives, nothing to buy or rent, a lifetime certification good around the world, delivered to whatever schedule that fits your time frame and needs at an incredible price.
As of today, the total amount of students trained and certified by me and me alone is 3,888 completed and in the books, be nice to make it to 4,000. My fee that I charge my students has only increased 50.00 over a 30 year timespan, even though my expenses to provide your training has increased approximately 70% on my end. Everyone says just raise your prices, well to be honest with you, my phone isn't ringing that much now with new students, raising my fees would only cause fewer inquiries about training.
Anyone that has taken my course knows beyond a shadow of a doubt what a passion and skill that I have to share with my students , I have 60 years experience of being an actual diver and being a professional Scuba Instructor Trainer for almost 40 years, and experience has to be earned, not bought. I wholeheartedly love what I do and I do what I love. I sincerely from the bottom of my heart thank and appreciate each and every one of my students, past and present. Without you putting your trust in my knowledge and ability to professionally train and educate you, Les Marshall as you know him wouldn't exist.
Like all good things, everything ends eventually, unfortunately I am seriously thinking that this will be the last year for me, it's just not the same anymore, but it sure has been one helluva ride, that I have enjoyed immensely and wouldn't trade it for the world.
