Kayak Addictions

Had a pretty good day today from the fort. You could almost walk down the St Marks River and never get your feet wet there were so many boats. Big trout were 18 and red was 20.

Pulled the vibe down the levee at St Marks this morning. Pretty good day. Caught/Released this big girl. She was a fat 23 inches. These were my best pictures.

The Vibe loaded and ready for the mile plus hike down deep levee. Great morning to fish, a little windy, but it died down. Caught a decent 21.5 trout, a few smaller slots plus a few under slot reds. All in all a great morning to be on the water.

Hit the SMNWR Creeks this morning. Pulled my kayak over a mile down the levy on my newly built kayak dolly. Had a great sunrise and caught a big fat red. Lost three more good reds at the boat and one trout. My catch ratio was off. Dolly did great.

Been awhile since I posted. Went to St Marks this morning. Did something different. I built a kayak dolly and pulled my kayak to one of the many creeks East of the light house. Had a great day on the . Caught a few reds this morning. Here are the highlights. That 26” was over 7lbs. Saw the biggest trout I have ever seen. She must have been 28 or 29”. She was bigger than my red. Couldn’t get a good cast at her. Next time.

Excellent start to the Memorial Day Weekend. Well It finally happened, I flipped my kayak today for the first time ever. I was trying to get a good GoPro picture of log spring and into the spring I went. Freaked Jamye Wars out!!! Did manage to get a decent picture of the log. John Wars

Jamye and I took her new Vibe to Piney Z yesterday. It was mirror perfect coming back in. She absolutely loves it. Great kayak.

Went to Bottoms Rd this morning. The reds were everywhere. Ended up keeping this fat 26.95” red almost 8 lbs. Great day. Parking was crazy.

Spent another day using nature to follow “social distancing” recommendations. Even the gators followed the rules at The Blue Hole, Wacissa River. Total miles this weekend 13.5 Vibe

St Marks Lighthouse this morning for some self quarantine.

Alright my Lake Iamonia friends. Do my eyes deceive me or is this a billygoat on one of the islands in the middle of the lake?

Great day today. Caught a bunch of trout and ended the day with the this beautiful 28 1/2 red. Took the Vibe all the way to the rock garden.
