Wakulla County 4-H Shooting Sports

Just a quick reminder: there is NO archery practice in December. We hope everyone has a safe and healthy holiday season.

Good Morning! Just a few reminders
-There is NO archery club meeting tonight, please check your emails
-Due to insurance and FL 4H rules there are age restrictions on our shooting sports program participants. They are Shot Gun is open to those who are 10+ years old. Archery & Air Rifle are open to those youth ages 8+. All ages for 4H are based on September 1 (so if you turn 10 in November you would.not be eligible for Shotgun club this year)

Thank you to everyone who came out to the open house! Shooting sports had many interested, returning and new, youth & families. We can't wait to see everyone at our first respective meetings

Important... Shotgun (s***t) this Saturday will be meeting at Talon Range in Midway, FL at 1:00 PM. This practice will be focused on 3 types of clays (sporting, trap and s***t). Practice time is 1:00 PM. Cost of this practice is 50 cents per clay (Talon's price).

AIR RIFLE scheduled for Monday, 2/21 will be postponed until Monday 2/28.

Calling all of the people that are interested in teaching shooting sports (Archery, S***t, Air Rifle) to our young people... There is a training coming up to get you certified to teach. You do not have to be an expert by any means. If you have a desire to teach and willingness to learn, we could us your help!

Contact Dr. Rachel Pienta at the 4-H/IFAS office and let her know you want to get involved.

Friendly reminder that we have shotgun practice this Saturday at the range. We start at 9 AM. Please email instructor David Pienta if you plan on attending so we can plan accordingly.

Air Rifle practice will be this coming MONDAY, 7:00 PM at the 4-H arena. Practice is $5. If you have not registered on 4-H online, please do so!

Shotgun will be practicing THIS Saturday at 9 AM, WCSO Range. Please let us know if you plan on coming. Please note that you MUST be registered with 4-H online. Practice is $5 if you use your gun and ammo. It is $10 if you use 4-H guns and/or ammo.

We are looking for shotgun, archery and air rifle instructors for the shooting sports program! If you are interested in teaching these disciplines to youth, we would welcome your support. Training will be provided. Please contact Dr. Rachel Pienta at the extension office at [email protected].
