Even with a storm rolling through, the pigloo security team is on duty. 🌧️🐷

The adults have claimed the front row seats, standing guard at the entrance while the younger pigs stay tucked safely in the back where it’s warm and dry. If you look closely, you can almost hear them saying, “Don’t worry kids, we’ve got this one.”

Around here, rainy days mean slowing down, finding shelter, and letting nature set the schedule for a little while.

Farm Fact: Pigs are surprisingly social and often sleep together in groups for comfort and security. In the wild, adults will position themselves around younger pigs while resting, creating a protective “pig pile” that helps keep everyone safe and warm.

Big Hearts, Happy Hooves ❤️🐾🌧️

Some people see a rainstorm and call it a day. Around here, we just call it a surprise water break. 🌧️😆

While working on the back pasture fence today (and getting very close to the finish line!), the skies decided to open up with a full Florida downpour. Thankfully, my amazing wife Siri recently got me a 10x10 canopy, so instead of running for cover, I was able to keep working and stay mostly dry. Eventually, though, there comes a point when nature makes the decision for you. When the rain is coming down sideways and the ground is turning into soup, sometimes you just have to listen when Mother Nature says, “Take the rest of the day off.”

A huge thank you to Siri for always supporting the crazy farm projects that somehow seem to multiply overnight. ❤️

Farm Fact: Right now our pasture is in the middle of transitioning from winter rye grass to Bahia grass. The rye grows quickly during the cooler months and helps protect the soil, but Florida’s summer heat eventually causes it to die back. Bahia grass loves the heat, so as temperatures rise and we get these regular summer rains, the Bahia starts taking over and creating the thick, durable pasture our animals will use. It may look a little rough during the transition, but that’s actually part of the process as one grass hands the baton to the other. 🌱☀️🌧️

One fence post at a time, we’re getting FrizzleBops Farm ready for July. 🐷🐐🐴🌧️💚

Pixie is officially on Team USA! 🇺🇸⚽🐐

Our little goat may not have made the World Cup roster, but she’s convinced she could carry the team if given the chance. All that’s missing is a jersey and a contract.

After Team USA’s big 4 to 1 win over Paraguay, Pixie is already looking ahead to the next challenge against Australia. She’s predicting another strong showing and says extra treats will be awarded for every USA goal scored.

Farm Fact: Goats have rectangular pupils, which give them an incredibly wide field of vision. They can see nearly 320 degrees around themselves without turning their heads, helping them spot predators and keep an eye on the rest of the herd.

Let’s go USA! 🇺🇸🐐⚽

If anyone is looking for Zataran today, she’s unavailable for meetings and currently relaxing in her private water trough retreat. 🐷☀️

With temperatures climbing into the 90s, one of our superstar moms has decided that staying cool is her top priority. Honestly, we can’t blame her. Between raising piglets and keeping everyone in line, she’s earned a little spa day.

A big thank you to our incredible volunteer Noelle Jordan for capturing this perfectly timed photo! 📸

Farm Fact: Pigs are surprisingly intelligent and can learn their names, respond when called, and even solve simple puzzles. Many researchers rank their problem solving abilities alongside those of dogs.

Stay cool out there, friends. Zataran certainly has the right idea. 💦🐷

Somebody found the best seat in the goat habitat today. 🐐☀️

This little lady was soaking up the sunshine and keeping watch over her kingdom from a cozy nest of hay. We’re pretty sure she believes the habitat was built entirely for her comfort, and honestly, she might be right.

Farm fact: Goats use different vocalizations to communicate with each other, and mother goats can recognize their kids calls even when they’re mixed into a group of other goats.

For now, she seems perfectly content enjoying a peaceful afternoon and reminding everyone that life is better when you take time to relax in the sunshine. 💚

Some of the cutest faces at FrizzleBops Farm decided it was time for a photo shoot. 🐷❤️

From curious little explorers to expert cuddlers and championship nappers, our pig crew keeps us laughing every day. Each one has their own personality, but they all share one thing in common… they know exactly how to steal the spotlight.

We may have chores to do, but somehow we always end up stopping for piglet snuggles and pictures instead. 😍

🌾 Farm Facts: Pigs have an incredible sense of smell and can use it to find food hidden underground. Their noses are so sensitive that they’re often compared to a dog’s when it comes to scent detection.

Pigs can dream when they sleep, just like people do. Scientists have observed sleep patterns in pigs that suggest they experience dreams during deep sleep. Judging by some of these snoozing faces, we’re pretty sure they’re dreaming about snacks. 🐽

Which pig would you be today… the adventurer, the troublemaker, the cuddle bug, or the professional napper?

Martha wanted everyone to see her fresh pedicure and show off the amazing work her favorite farrier (The amazing Hailey Sanders) did last weekend! 😍

She may be a mama donkey, but she still likes looking her best. Those freshly trimmed hooves help keep her comfortable, healthy, and ready for all the attention she can get at FrizzleBops Farm. ❤️🫏

🌾 Farm Fact: Donkeys have incredibly strong memories and can recognize places, other animals, and even people they haven’t seen for years. Martha never forgets a friend… especially one who brings treats!

First Canna Lily bloom of the season! 🌺

We planted it for the color, but it turns out it’s also the perfect camouflage for our irrigation zone valve box. Sometimes landscaping solves two problems at once. 😄

Farm Fact: Canna lilies aren’t true lilies at all. They’re tropical plants that thrive in Florida’s heat and can bloom continuously from spring through fall with enough sun and water. 🌞🌺

Everyone meet Sugar! 🍬🐴

Sugar will be joining the FrizzleBops Farm family around July 1st, and we couldn’t be more excited! While she’s an older girl, she has exactly the kind of calm, gentle personality that makes a great teacher.

Once she arrives, Sugar will help introduce a new generation of riders to the world of horses through lessons, confidence-building, and plenty of patient encouragement. Every great horse person starts somewhere, and we’re proud that Sugar will help inspire those first rides and lifelong memories.

We can’t wait to welcome her home! 💚

🌾 Farm Fact: Horses are excellent teachers for children because they naturally respond to confidence, patience, and clear communication. Many young riders learn responsibility, empathy, and leadership skills simply by spending time caring for and working with horses! 🐴✨

Can you tell how excited our goats are for FrizzleBops Farm to open in July?

Yeah… neither can we.

While everyone else is counting down the days, Olaf, Anna, Artie, and Pixie seem to have mastered the art of doing absolutely nothing. If relaxation were an Olympic sport, this crew would be bringing home gold medals.

July is getting closer, the pastures are growing, the projects are coming together, and our future residents are busy preparing.

We can’t wait to welcome everyone to FrizzleBops Farm, even if our goat management team isn’t quite ready to get off the couch.

Farm Fact: Goats have rectangular pupils. Those unusual eyes give them a nearly 320-degree field of vision, helping them spot predators while they graze and relax.
