Congrats to the Chaminade Baseball Team as they win the District 2 Championship for Class 5. Special shout out to AR STL student-athletes Tommy Piazza, Henry Lopez, as well as AR alumni athletes Zach Tracy, & Henry Ladenberger as they all played integral roles for this team this Spring. This is Chaminade's first district baseball title in over 20 years! Chaminade will move on to play a best of 3 series against Festus this weekend. Best of luck to Chaminade!

Congrats to AR STL student-athlete Paxton Kerr as he earns Suburban 2nd Team All-Conference honors for his play this Spring for Kirkwood High School. Paxton had an outstanding Sophomore season for Kirkwood High School finishing with 43 caused turnovers. He also scooped up 46 ground balls for the Pioneers! Awesome work Paxton!

Congrats to AR STL student-athlete Ryland Wilhelm as he earns 1st Team Suburban All-Conference for his outstanding play this Spring on the lacrosse field! Ryland scooped up 63 ground balls, while adding 3 goals and an assist. Ryland is headed to University of Alabama where he’ll double major in Real Estate and Finance! Amazing work Ryland! Best of luck at 'Bama!

Congrats to AR STL student-athlete William Muckerman as he won the Class 4 District 3 Title in the 100-meter dash. Will continues his stellar freshman campaign advancing to the Class 4 sectional after running a 10.94 last Saturday in the rain. Will also qualified for next week's Class 4 sectional meet at Orchard Farm in the 200-meter dash (22.72 seconds) and part of the 800-meter relay team (1:31.31). Amazing work William! Best of luck next weekend!

St. Joseph's Tatum Smiley follows father into medicine, Navy: Scholar Athlete Spotlight 05/15/2026

Congrats to AR STL student-athlete Tatum Smiley as she is named the St. Louis Post-Dispatch Scholar Athlete of the Year for St. Joseph's Academy! Tatum played several sports over her 4 years at St. Joe's. She was a dominant diver and played lacrosse all 4 years as well. She finished in the top 5% of her class! Tatum also recently found out she earned the Salutatorian for the Class of 2026 at St. Joe's! Tatum will be studying next year at Mizzou. She will be majoring in Mathematics on the Pre-Med track.

Below is a great article on Tatum and all she has participated in and her story of why she wants to go in to medicine. She has had great role models in her parents and will look to follow in her Dad's & Grandfather's footsteps in medicine. Tatum is an extremely hard-working student-athlete and we can't wait to see everything she does to help the world! Amazing work Tatum!

Dear Members,
Phase 2 of our parking lot improvement project begins tomorrow May 14. The front and side lots will be CLOSED. There will be signs to indicate lot closures.

• Able-bodied members please park the in lot next door to the left of the gym.
• There will be handicap spots available in the back by the Athletic Republic door. Also please reserve the other spots in the back for those who need assistance.

The lots will reopen this weekend. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Congrats to AR STL student-athlete Christian Potts as he was named the St. Louis Post-Dispatch Scholar Athlete of the Year for Vashon High School. Christian helped the Vashon basketball team to the Class 4 Final Four, while earning a #1 academic ranking at Vashon. Christian will be studying and playing basketball at Langston University next year! Amazing work Christian!

Academic rank: 1.

Sports: Basketball.

Academic bio: Honor roll; top 10 in graduating class; SLPS scholarly athlete award.

Athletic bio: Helped Vashon finish fourth in Class 4 state tournament.

Activities: Jobs for America's Graduates officer (JAG); SLPS Learn and Earn intern; AAU basketball.

Congrats to AR STL student-athlete Georgia Lochhead as she was named the St. Louis Post-Dispatch Scholar Athlete of the Year for MICDS. Georgia has some amazing accomplishments over her 4 years at MICDS. Here are some of her accomplishments & activities:

Academic bio: Cum laude society; first honors; NFHCA all-academic (2024-2025); NFHCA Scholar of Distinction (2024-2025); Missouri Seal of Biliteracy for French.

Athletic bio: Field hockey: Post-Dispatch All-Metro first team (2024) and second team (2025); all-Girls Independent Schools League first team (2024, 2025) and second team (2023); all-state third team (2025); 2024-2025 NFCHA watchlist; team captain (2024, 2025); Overall Contribution Award for FH (2024, 2025). Lacrosse: Unsung Hero Award (2025); most improved (2024); team captain (2026).

Georgia will be studying and playing field hockey at Colgate University next year. Incredible work Georgia!

Fiske and Bailey Claim Matthew Vassar Honors At Annual Awards Ceremony - Vassar College Athletics 05/06/2026

Congrats to AR STL student-athlete Ava Holman as she was tabbed the 2026 Vassar College Rookie of the Year from a women's team. Ava burst onto the scene for Vassar as a rookie in 2025. She led the Vassar College soccer team with 10 goals, including five game winners, and 23 points. Ava's final deciding marker of the season came in a 1-0 win over RIT in the Liberty League Championship final, giving Vassar's its first ever league crown.

Ava earned five Liberty League Rookie of the Week awards and an Offensive Performer of the Week citation in 2025 on the way to being named Second Team All-League and the Liberty League Rookie of the Year. She appeared in all 20 games for the Brewers as a rookie, also earning Third Team All-Region III recognition from the United Soccer Coaches. Amazing work Ava!

Congrats to AR STL student-athlete Justyce Sanders as she earns the MO MileSplit Performer of the Week honors! Justyce recently set the new school record at MICDS in the Girls 100m with a time of 11.92. She already holds the school record in the 200m. Awesome work Justyce!
