The Lions travel to Iberia today to take on the Rangers. Kickoff is at 6:00 due to heat. See you all there!

The Lions take a tough 4-1 loss to the Bluejays of Greenwood Lab School.

The boys started the game applying pressure to the Greenwood back line and near the 12 minute mark Johnny Carriger earned a spot kick.

Carriger stepped up and buried the chance to put the lions up 1-0.

The Lions held their lead until the 28th minute when a Greenwood corner kick snuck its way through the 6 yd box and was deflected into the back of the net, knotting things at 1-1.

Greenwood continued applying pressure and found the go ahead goal just four minutes later and were able to take a 2-1 lead into halftime.

The scoreline held until the 22nd minute of the second half, when Greenwood broke through the defense and tucked home their 1v1 opportunity to make it 3-1.

6 minutes later a deflected ball snuck through the back line for another 1v1 opportunity that Greenwood tucked away to seal the 4-1 win.

Good effort against a quality opponent tonight.

The boys are back in action Tuesday as we welcome the Iberia Rangers to town. Kickoff is scheduled for 5:00pm!

Your Crocker Lions walk out of Westphalia with a statement 9-1 win vs the Fatima Comets.

The boys pushed hard in the first half but thanks to some fantastic Keeper Work by Fatima the Lions took a 1-0 lead to half courtesy of a Johnny Carriger service from a corner kick that was smashed home by a Braden Devine header at the back post.

The boys adjusted well and added a second off some good high pressing when the keeper misplayed a ball to Johnny Carriger who lobbed it into the back of the net from 35 yards out just 20 seconds into the half.

Fatima was able to pull one back off their own corner to cut the lion lead to 2-1, but that scoreline lasted only seconds.

From the restart the boys played a quick ball down field and smashed home their third to bring the two goal lead back to 3-1. And then the flood gates opened..

In the final 15 minutes of play the boys outpaced the high line held by Fatima and slotted home 6 more goals to put the game to bed early, ending at 9-1.

Scoring totals on the night were as follows:

Sr. Johnny Carriger 6 goals, 3 assists.
Sr. Braden Devine 2 goals, 1 assist
Fr. Matthew Resch 1 goal

The lions are back in action at home on Thursday 9/10, as we welcome in the Bluejays of Greenwood Lab School for a 5:00pm kickoff.

The Lions were back in action tonight but fell to the Lebanon Yellow Jackets by a score of 6-3.

After giving up an early goal inside the first 5 minutes the boys made some adjustments and started to connect well.

Johnny Carriger would get us on level terms as he danced through a few yellow jacket defenders and found the target from about 19 yards out.

Nearly 10 minutes later Johnny would again work his way through the Yellowjacket penalty area to slide his second pass the keeper to bring us to a 2-1 score line. But the yellow jackets found their second just before the half to send us into the break knotted at 2 a piece.

Less than 8 minutes into the second half our Senior center back Ryan Mathis would take a hard knock that saw him leave the game. Filling that hole in the back line was no easy task as the yellow jackets began an onslaught of through balls and applying relentless pressure to our back line.

On a quick transition Johnny Carriger would send a cross into the box for a Matt Resch finish (that connection is feeling a little familiar after three games) to put us up 3-2. But the lead lasted only minutes after Lebanon pulled back 3-3.

The final 20 would see Lebanon tack on 3 more to finish the game out at 6-3.

The lions are back in action on Tuesday, when we travel to district opponent Fatima to take on the Comets. We’ll see you all there!

GAME DAY!

The Lions travel to Lebanon tonight to take on the host Yellowjackets.

Kickoff has been moved to 6:00pm to try and beat the heat.

Get out and support the boys at the field or tune into the Crocker High School HudlTV account online to catch the action!

The lions fell tonight in a tightly contested 3-2 game in the inaugural Pulaski County Showdown.

Johnny Carriger opened the scoring courtesy of a first half PK to put the links up 1-0.

Matthew Resch would then tack on another in the opening 10 minutes of the second half to see us go up 2-0.

But those hornets would just not give up. Laquey found their first goal with 12 minutes remaining to cut the lead to 2-1. Then with with 5 left they were able to find the tying goal 2-2 to bust the game wide open again.

With 45 seconds remaining Laquey was able to seal the deal on a PK 3-2.

Hard fought game that didn’t bounce our way tonight but our lions played with pride!

We’re back in action Thursday 9/3 in Lebanon for a 5:00pm kickoff. We’ll see you there!

We’re also proud to recognize Pulaski County RUSH Soccer and the young players who are helping grow the game right here in our community.

🚨🚨CHANGE OF LOCATION AND TIME🚨🚨

In preparation for extreme heat temperatures at the originally scheduled game time, we have made the decision to move the Pulaski County Showdown from Crocker to Laquey.

GAME TIME IS NOW 7:00pm, under the lights at Stinger Field, behind Laquey High School.

Due to this change, Double X BBQ will not be in attendance, but not to worry, you can still get your BBQ fix before leaving town, as they will still be setting up in the middle of town by the caboose, and will begin serving at 4:00pm!

We hope to see everyone out in attendance for the game, bringing a sea of blue to Laquey!
