Thukdam is a unique form of meditation performed after the time of death in which the person remains sitting upright in meditation for days, or even weeks, and the body does not decompose. Three of my Tibetan teachers have achieved this high meditation. There is a nice documentary about the collaboration between H.H. the Dalai Lama and western researchers to document this unique achievement.
