HOMESTAY FAMILIES NEEDED. Please consider helping. Contact us to learn more.

The 33rd Annual MCYSA Tournament is less than six weeks away, and we are in serious need of a few families who are willing to host two players from Brazil from July 9 to 14 or July 15 to 20. Your willingness to open your home will enable these young people to have a life-changing experience, and along the way, you too will have a memorable experience learning about a new culture and making friends.

Sound interesting but you're not sure? Please contact us at [email protected] for more information.

Introducing Mick Henry, the newest member of the MCYSA team. He will be appearing at several events leading up to our MCYSA tournament and during tournament events this summer. We are looking for two people to share the duties of wearing the costume and "bringing Mick to life."

Qualifications include being reliable, fun-loving and available to participate in events. Being able to drive and having a vehicle with a hatch back or large trunk gate are definite pluses. Mick may need a companion to help him navigate his surroundings, so it would be a plus if you apply with a teammate with whom you can share the duties of wearing the costume and serving as his guide.

In 2011, Todd and Julie O’Connor’s family hosted Kazuma Okamoto from Team Japan as part of the MCYSA Homestay program. Today Todd, Julie and their son Brendan got to meet up with Kazuma in Milwaukee. This MCYSA tournament alum is now playing for the Toronto Blue Jays! Kazuma is in his first season in the MLB after many successful years playing professionally in Japan. Yes, it’s a small world if you work to make it that way
