Engage is taking a break this week, but we start back next week with our exciting Fall session which includes auditions for our EDT Nutcracker, a true Crystal Lake holiday tradition in partnership with the Raue Center for the Arts in downtown Crystal Lake. Happy 250th America! Wishing all our families a safe and bright Independence Day weekend🇺🇸 Hope to see everyone at the Crystal Lake Independence Day Parade tomorrow starting at 1pm!

We are so lucky to have Pas de Deux classes every week during our summer intensive and twice a month during the year.

This class is taught by our very own Mr Marc (former leading artist with Milwaukee Ballet for 13years) joined by current or former professional dancers. This past week we had the absolute privilege to be joined by Mr Pedro, former soloist with English National Ballet (our Cavalier for Nutcracker), and Mr Randy, current leading Artist with Milwaukee Ballet.

Arthur, one of our EDT Trainee dancers, takes our partnering classes as well, learning the skills a male dancer needs for this profession.

Our Pas de Deux classes are multi layered with teaching our female & male students the art of classical and contemporary partnering. This creates a wonderful harmonious atmosphere for everyone to be inspired, learn, and form a wonderful level of respect for partnering from both perspectives. The level of training this adds to our dancers is off the charts, along with having the opportunity to speak with these incredible artists and ask them questions.

We are so proud to have had Purrfect Cat Rescue as our beneficiary from this past years Pointes for a Purpose show. We wanted to share the news that one of our dear families just adopted two kittens this week who are now beginning their new life in their new forever home❤️ Congratulations to all, two legged and four!

CONGRATS to Espresso and Latte! These two little crazies are so awesome! Playful and loving. Purr just looking at them! Instant love… their new family couldn’t wait to get them home. Thank you for giving them the forever home they deserve together! ❤️🏠❤️
