As you know we at eds, do rod and reel repair.
So it seems we hand out claim tickets and most tickets don't come back for the people to claim their item.
SO STARTING JULY 1ST!!!!
You will have to have your claim ticket to collect your item.
.....Or there will be a additional $5 charge without the claim stub........
We want to make sure you get your item back you dropped off. So the claim ticket is very important.

So what is on eds mind on a Monday 😎?
It seems a shop had a snafu this weekend?! 🙄

Let's just sit down and read this for a moment!
Most know if you fish enough, there comes a time around June moon ( full). The water gets hot (95 at the moment)
So we call it summer shrimp! Where we still get orders but way less then we order.
Because the water is hot, and the shrimp push way offshore. To where the local shrimp boats are not equipped for the deeper water.
Which in turn if your not at a bait shop when they open, your chances of getting shrimp at 7:39am is slim to none. Because they would have sold out what they had left over from day before ( no sense on calling, by the time you do that. We are selling the last shrimp) you have to get up and get going.
So then the shrimpers have to wait it out, for the shrimp in the estury to start to carry out by tide. For them to catch our full orders again.
Which yes they are hatchlings, and the process starts all over again. As to shedding every full and new moon. Till they get adult size before the cycle of leaving again in the summer.
As to I have learned a lot more this year, about shrimp on the west coast by googling it.
Yes it happens every year...some years worse then others.
as we the fisher people know MOTHER NATURE PLAYS A BIG ROLL IN LIVE BAIT YEAR ROUND!!

So we bait shops put in alot if hours and money..to make your fishing day enjoyable everyday and fun.

But the customers ( some) just get so out of hand because of no live shrimp, pins, mudd minnows. I'm guessing being nice and understanding anymore this day and time is not the norm.

We at eds will not tolerate any rudeness over bait or tackle. As to any shop in Crystal river should not either.

So yes another hot summer has happen upon us. So take it easy simmer down...and make it a great day on the water 😎.

Eds is set and ready for the opening on Wednesday. Stop on by and get your scallop measuring device ( they are free). To help the future generations of scalloping.

Summer drops are getting less in our orders...so ya got to get up and get em. Before we are sold out. Usually sold out by 7:30am.
