2nd annual 9/11 stair run, this year some of the girls team joined in, then cross country!!! Even though only the coaches were alive when it happened, we want the kids to know the importance of the tragic event. We will never forget!

Remembering Welles Crowther, the Man in the Red Bandana, 25 years later 🙏

A former lacrosse player at Boston College, Crowther worked in the South Tower of the World Trade Center and is remembered today for his heroic actions during the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

On the day of the attacks, Crowther (who had experience as a volunteer firefighter) encountered multiple groups of survivors inside the Twin Towers and led them to safety, according to firsthand reports.

Crowther ultimately lost his life in the Twin Towers, but a New York Times article mentioning “a man in a red bandana” helped bring his story to light. Crowther always wore a red bandana under his lacrosse helmet. While rescuing victims inside the burning buildings on 9/11, he wore that signature bandana over his face to protect from the smoke.

Crowther’s red bandana has since become a symbol of his sacrifice, for which we honor him every anniversary of the tragic attacks.

With today being the 25th anniversary of 9/11, please take some time to reflect on Crowther’s heroic actions and the impact his story has on our country, as well as the game of lacrosse 🕊️🥍

What an exciting season. Even though it came to a close last night in Mechanicsville losing 14-12, the boys showed all season they can compete and they wanted to compete. Undersized but not afraid to mix it up with teams physically larger. Growing pains along the way, youthful mistakes that they continuously learned from, and a whole lot of fun had these last 3 months. We will miss our seniors, who went out with their heads held high, but a couple without shirts apparently 🙄😂 We will continue to earn our respect, play the game with class, and never lower our standards. Bring on 2027, let's hunt gentlemen!

Late to the post but want to give a shout out to our seniors! Friday night on senior night we celebrated these young men. These guys have been with the program for 2, 3, 5!(Grant) years now and have been crucial in the program trending upwards. We were able to get the dub on senior night as well as #26 Grant Sullivan getting his first goal! A great night all around and good luck to these young men in the future!

Also for today, Mother's Day, we thank all the lacrosse moms out there! You all are the true backbone to any team and us coaches cannot thank you enough for what you do to support the program. You ladies haul kids around, are able to feed a whole team at a moments notice if necessary, and nobody ever hears a complaint. Your reward is more disgusting laundry this week, enjoy!

Our 2nd Annual Dad's Day game last night, moms get most of the glory cause they have to do the laundry 😂. This is the one game a year where we single out and celebrate the men who criticize us the most post-game, the guy we are scared to get in a vehicle with after a bad game cause feelings get hurt but men get developed. Dad's, we thank you for building character in these young men. Not only that, but we got the dub over Eastern View 😎
