Registration @ 5:00—Tee Off @ 5:15
We will also send groups of 3 or 4 off on hole 6 starting at 5:00. We will send the last card at 5:15 because of the limited daylight and the darkness in the wooded holes.

Only one week left after this week.

🥏 WMDG End of Season Updates

1️⃣ Tag League Time Change With darkness coming earlier, our remaining two Thursday Tag League nights at Jim Buser Memorial Course in Cumberland will shift to 5:00 PM check-in / 5:15 PM start. We'll begin on Hole 6 to knock out the wooded holes earlier, sending groups of 3–4 out starting at 5:00 PM.

2️⃣ Course Work Party — We Need You! We're gearing up for the Jim Buser Memorial C-Tier Tournament on Saturday, October 3rd, and we need help from our members with course maintenance — mainly w**d eating and fairway cleanup in the wooded holes, plus swapping out our two temporary baskets for the two pulled from the soccer field.

Scheduled workdays haven't brought the turnout we need, so instead: if you can spare 1–2 hours over the next couple of weeks, it would mean a lot — and we could especially use some of our younger members for the basket install!

We have three league nights left in our 2026 season, then the end-of-season Jim Buser Memorial Tournament. I want to thank all who came out this season - it was an exciting year, with the addition of 6 holes and then needing to replace two late in the year. The last three tag events will all be at Central - we want to get the course in shape for the Oct 3 tournament. There is a good amount of course work - especially w**d-eating- to prepare for the tournament. We would like our members to try to spend an hour or two a week w**d-eating and clearing downed limbs along the fairways and paths. This would be greatly appreciated. Early next week, we plan to set up a day to install the converted baskets (removed from the soccer field) and replace the two temp baskets. We could really use some of our "younger" members for this endeavor. I will post the information when I have a date. Thanks

🥏⛳ THURSDAY NIGHT TAG LEAGUE RECAP — The Glades at Meshach Run ⛳🥏

Some of the best golf we've seen all season last night! 🔥 Every single General Division player finished below par — the course got attacked from top to bottom.

At the top, it came down to the wire: Colby Mallery buried an eagle putt on Hole 18 — one of the toughest holes on the course — driving it to about 12 feet left of the pin and draining it to sn**ch the win -9 over Crosby Abe (-8), who could only watch from the clubhouse as it dropped. What a finish! 🦅🎯

Derrick Davis rounded out the podium at -4.

🔥 Hot stretches of the night:

Colby Mallery: 6 birdies in 7 holes
Crosby Abe: 6 birdies in 7 holes
Derrick Davis & Scott Mallery: 5 birdies in 6 holes

🦅 Eagle Alert: Colby Mallery (Hole 18) and Nick Russ (Hole 5) both flew in for eagles — the only two of the night.

👩 FPO came down to just ONE STROKE — Quinn Vogtman (+22) edged out Krystal Mallery (+23) for the win. Talk about a nail-biter!

🎯 CTP Winner: Matthew Marsh!

Here is the updated course map for the Jim Buser Memorial Course following the addition of two additional wooded holes ( #12 and #13) and the removal of the soccer field holes. While the holes may be tweaked a little, this is a permanent change due to the growth of the school and its sports programs. Within a few weeks, the baskets removed from the field will be placed in the woods, and the temp baskets will be removed.

What a night at Hawthorn Hill!
🔥 Nick Russ and Jeremy Beitzel battled it out to a dead-even tie atop the General Division, both carding -6 — and both dropping an incredible 7 birdies apiece to get there! 🐦🐦

Right behind them, Brian Padovini (-4, 6 birdies) took 3rd, with Bill Shreve and Crosby Abe tying for 4th at -2.

🦅 EAGLE ALERT! Nick Russ and Crosby Abe both flew in for eagles — Nick on Hole 8, Crosby on Hole 18. Absolute bombs. 💣

We had a big night at Jim Buser Memorial! 🥏⛳

Kevin Spradlin put on an absolute clinic, carding 11 birdies on his way to a runaway win at -9. Derrick Davis kept the pressure on with 9 birdies of his own to finish at -6, and Nick Russ rounded out the podium at -2 with 6 birdies. Great showing all around, guys! 🙌

🎯 Congrats to Kevin Spradlin for also taking home the weekly Closest to Pin! Double the hardware tonight!

Also throwing down solid cards: Crosby Abe (-1, 3 birdies) and Scott Mallery (E, 4 birdies).

🌲 This was also the first round on the newly repositioned woods holes 12 & 13, replacing the baskets near the soccer field. Thanks for rolling with the changes — we've still got some course work to finish up before October's tournament, so stay tuned!

🔥 THURSDAY NIGHT TAG LEAGUE RECAP – The Glades 🔥

What a night out at The Glades at Meshach Run! ⛳🥏

The General Division came down to the wire, with Colby Mallery and Derrick Davis trading birdies all round long — Colby ripped off an incredible 11 birdies; Derrick answered right back with 12 of his own! It stayed razor close until the very last hole, when Colby drilled a 40+ FOOT PUTT on Hole 18 to seal the win at -10, edging out Derrick's -9. What a way to finish! 🎯💥

🥉 Rounding out the podium, Brian Padovini carded a strong -7 with 8 birdies.

Also throwing down solid rounds: Scott Mallery (-5, 6 birdies) and Chet Christner (-3, 6 birdies).

Great cards all around, gentlemen!

🙌Derrick Davis also took home a disc with the CTP on hole 4! Great throw Derrick.

👑 In the Women's Division, congrats to Melissa Nash for taking the win at +22!
