Heya Divers!!! =)
We've got our Annual Pumpkin Carving event scheduled for this Saturday (10/24)!! =)
We'll be meeting at Ft Wetherill State Park, Jamestown RI for 4pm. This is a BYOP (Bring Your Own Pumpkin) event.
We'll have the grill there with some hot dogs and snacks too!! =)
If you need rental gear make sure to contact the shop ASAP to reserve what you need as all rentals are first-come, first-served.
Don't forget, there are priceless prizes for the carvings!

🎃 Pumpkin Prep & Rules
• Pre-gutting permitted: You may clean out all seeds and pulp at home so your pumpkin can sink, but it's not required. Remember, pumpkins float! =)
• Pre-drawing OK: Stencils, outlines, and markings are allowed.
• No external props: Artificial decorations are barred; rely strictly on the pumpkin.
🔪 Carving Guidelines
• Submerged carving only: All cutting must happen fully underwater.
• Approved tools: Bring your own dive knives or standard pumpkin kits; power tools are strictly banned (hehe).
• Surface deadline: Carving stops the second you break the surface—no touch-ups allowed on land.
🤿 Safety & Diving Requirements
• Certification & waivers: Present a valid C-card and sign a liability waiver before entering the water.
• The buddy system: Dive with a buddy or designated team and stay together the entire time.
• 45-minute time limit: Keep a close eye on the clock.
