SHANE SCOTT BASKETBALL 🏀 BISHOP WALSH LADY SPARTANS — THE TURNAROUND
When Coach Shane Scott took over the Bishop Walsh School girls varsity basketball program, the mission was bigger than simply putting wins on the board. It was about building a culture, developing young athletes, creating confidence, and changing the standard.
Over the first two seasons of his tenure:
2024–25: 7–15
2025–26: 20–10
TWO-YEAR RECORD: 27–25
The numbers tell part of the story.
In just one season, the Lady Spartans went from 7 wins to 20 wins, finishing the 2025–26 season with a 20–10 record.
That’s not just a change in the record — it’s evidence of growth, commitment, player development, accountability, and a team buying into a new standard.
Coach Scott’s focus has been on developing players both on and off the court, preparing young women to compete, lead, overcome adversity, and understand what it means to be part of something bigger than themselves.
Two seasons. 27 wins. A culture being built.
And the work isn’t finished.
