Winners Circle Park set to open in Forsyth County
Led by former major league baseball player Todd Greene, Rick Nielsen, Sports Academy's Chad Faulkner, Restaurateur Richard Tang, Winners Circle Park is set to open in Forsyth County in 2023. The 62-acre campus is heralded as the premier destination for baseball, basketball, volleyball, cheer, pickleball and esports tournaments, leagues and full- circle training.
“Our project is expected to attract over 750,000 visitors yearly from all over the country,” explained Rick Nielsen. “This will greatly benefit our county's economy by having our guests eat, shop and stay in our local hotels. This will generate revenue for our local economy into the millions and create over 500 full time local jobs on our site,” Nielsen added.
Winners Circle Park, described as The Southeast's premier baseball and training destination, counts with an advisory board of sports figures; Baseball Hall of Fame member and former Atlanta Braves pitcher Tom Glavine, NBA player Seth Curry, entertainer DJ Skee, entitlement attorneys Sean Courtney Lipscomb Johnson Sleister, Dailey & Smith, LLP, and lead Architect Lamar Wakefield.
“This park will be transformative for south Forsyth and neighboring areas,” stated Chairman Alfred John, Forsyth County Board of Commissioners, District 2. “It will bring more jobs, add to our commercial tax base, and bring tourism dollars.”
The site will include nine state-of-the-art all turf baseball fields, a Sports Academy 125,000+sq ft indoor sports and training facility, 21 court indoor/outdoor pickleball entertainment complex featuring a 12,000sq ft chef-driven restaurant and restaurant/bar led by Richard Tang.
“With Forsyth County being the fastest growing county in the state of Georgia we felt it was the perfect location for our project.” Nielsen stated. “We saw the need and demand for youth sports in the area and felt it was the perfect time to deliver a project of this magnitude.”

About Winners Circle Park
Vision: Become the first choice for baseball tournaments and high-performance athlete training in the Southeast.
Mission: Opening in 2023, we will be the premier destination for baseball events. Our 62- acre campus is designed to host guests for sports tournaments, events, leagues, training and more.
Our Values: The benefits kids gain from playing sports are well documented. Playing sports helps kids grow healthy and strong, sets them up for an active lifestyle in later years, benefits them mentally and physically, teaches them teamwork and sportsmanship, and gives them a fun outlet for their energy. When kids play sports, they learn life skills that will help them grow into well-adjusted adults, and that’s a contribution to their community.
