23rd Annual Lake Russell Open Driven by Innova, GSS Finale, A Throw Pink Event is a PDGA-sanctioned disc golf tournament in Elberton, Georgia beginning September 11, 2021 and hosted by Elberton Disc Golf Club.

A huge thanks to Robert Hadley Gary Greeson and Chuck Carter for coming out to measure all Tee Pad to Pin positions for each of 20 holes (including alternate Pins on several holes).

Spoke with Parks and Rec this morning and they plan to move the two privet hedge brush piles impinging near end of #16 fairway prior to the Very Deep Ditch of Doom today or tomorrow.

Central Park Disc Golf Workdays

Where:
Meet at Practice Basket/ #1 Tee Pad area, 9:30 AM, Saturday April 28th.
What is happening?
In preparation for Throwmageddon we will be installing 27 new tee pads over the next two weeks. We have three rolls of Fly Pad and each have enough for nine 10’ x 5’ pads. We also have lumber to build ten 12’ x 6’ frames and enough M10 granite to fill the frames.
How:
We plan to form two crews, one cutting pads and second to cut lumber to specification. Once we’ve knocked out a good number of pads and frames we will deploy and install frames, fill with M10, then install new pads.
What to bring and how to help:
Hopefully we will have a couple of trucks to help transport pads and frame to tee areas. If you have a cordless drill for decking screws please bring along. Basic carpentry tools would be helpful: tape measure, level, hammer, etc. We do not have access to bobcat or similar so if you have a Homer bucket or similar please bring so that we can fill a bunch with M10 and transport to fill the frames.
Please plan to arrive by 9:30 AM on Saturday. Give me a call if you have questions or other ideas for improvements in preparation for Throwmageddon.
