Silicon Valley Kids Triathlon

Silicon Valley Kids Triathlon The guiding principle of the Silicon Valley Kids Triathlon is two-fold. First, to introduce the sport of triathlon to young people in our community in a safe environment. Distances are short and intended to expose our youngest athletes to the basic elements of triathlon. The sport also encourages young boys and girls (ages 15 and under) to lead a healthy lifestyle and enjoy the benefits of outdoor activities. Second, with charitable contributions of over $250,000 to local charities, we have a unique opportunity to raise awareness and encourage young people to give back to their community.

The Silicon Valley Kids Triathlon is organized by the Silicon Valley Triathlon Club, the South Bay’s premier triathlon and multi-sport club and a 501c3 charity.

Please review your registration email for the Silicon Valley Mini Kids Tri, as wave assignments were distributed today. Important reminder: bike checks are mandatory. We recommend completing your bike check at one of the following locations: Sports Basement in Campbell, Almaden, or Redwood City, or visit Live in Peace Bike Shop . If unavailable, we will accommodate you on race morning at the venue. Please note that Sports Basement Sunnyvale may be experiencing a shortage of stickers.

Only 7 days to go, tri-athletes! 🏊‍♀️🚴‍♀️🏃‍♀️ Don't forget, Silicon Valley Mini kids tri is happening on September 12, 2026, at Kathleen MacDonald HS! 📅

This time, we're switching things up - no more floating transitions, so don't be late! ⏰ Get to the transition area before 9:15 am, or you'll be left in the dust!

After setup, we'll have a quick chat about the rules, and then it's off to the pool for all waves! 🏊‍♀️

Oh, and parents, you're in on the fun too! You'll get a bib number, which means you can participate alongside your mini-me (no swimming required, we promise! 🙅‍♀️).

Just remember, only parents with the second bib can enter the transition area, so don't try to sneak in! 😉
