A huge thank you to the Kayaking Houston volunteers who came out to support the
Texas Water Safari! Our team served as race officials at the Luling 90 checkpoint, helping keep the race running smoothly while supporting paddlers as they pushed through one of the toughest endurance races in Texas.
In addition to volunteering at the checkpoint, members of our club donated supplies and cooked nearly 300 hot dogs for the Safari team captains and support crews. These dedicated individuals work tirelessly behind the scenes, often sacrificing sleep and comfort to help their racers succeed, and we were honored to show our appreciation for all they do.
The gratitude we received from racers, crews, and fellow volunteers made every minute worthwhile. We are proud of our team, thankful for everyone who contributed, and grateful to be part of such an amazing paddling community.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s Texas Water Safari a success. We can’t wait to do it again next year!
