Swimmers often experience tightness from sitting or cycling, limiting their range of motion. Gradually improving mobility can greatly enhance performance in the water. ✅The first test focuses on the high elbow position. Place thumbs under elbows and raise them as high as possible. A range of 130 degrees or higher indicates good mobility. 👉Another important aspect is overhead range. Link thumbs together, keeping chin and feet on the ground. ✅THE BEST WAY to maintain propulsion, accelerate through the pull and exit the water easily and quickly is to follow a light globe shaped pull pattern. ✅The circular shape can cause the hand to come up towards the hip and push the hips and legs down. It can also disrupt the timing of the stroke and lead to a lack of front quadrant swimming. ✅I recommend doing the top to bottom scull drill is to work on the depth and path of the hand during the pull-through.
