Hey all - the family house we all ( some of us anyway ) enjoyed on a few trips is available on AirBNB for a super weekend this summer or fall... The manage Cathy has offered a discount to the Texas Adventure Racing folks. This home is of course just a few minutes from RPR and Spider Mounting for those who can pull themselves away from the lake and want to ride their mountain bike. Not sure what the discount will be some 10% or an extra night if booking for several so - contact Cathy or me with a date(s) ask for some numbers.

Hey all the Huntsville Hammer is being postponed – or skipped until next year. I have very much enjoyed hosting the race for over 10 years with as few as twenty or as many as two hundred racers. This year with all the interest it would likely have been a packed house. Work and family illnesses have sadly gotten in my way to do what was needed to host the race. Plans are to team up with others so there will be redundancy and the race can be held regardless in the future. I look forward to seeing you all on the next planned race. So look for a race late winter or early spring and a hammer in 2022.

Please remember to get a day pass for your car before race day - today would be a good day to do it. :)

Some are finding camping available as they register for a day pass. Just in case you care to camp Friday and or Saturday.

Volunteers needed. :) otherwise race is full for this year.

NOTE ALL RACE TEAMS _ Please all teams - each car load needs to get a day pass for entry into the park. You can do this on Texas Parks and Wildlife web site. Your day pass can be for AM or PM of race day. They are limiting entry into the park and want as little contact with racers, campers, and day use folk... So get on line and get a pass for each car load. Other news we have room for 7 tents 2 people each if you care to camp Friday night or Saturday. An e-mail will be going out in a day or three with additional information about race day. Now we have packed the race with as many racers as the State will allow this year up are taking names incase anyone needs to drop we can replace you. :) Competition is weighty and gearing up for the day.
