You are not starting from zero just because you need to lose fat.

If you already built strength, learned how to train, and spent years under the bar, your fat-loss plan should respect that history, not erase it.

Hadrian is strength-based fat-loss coaching for men who need to lose the weight without surrendering the strength.

DM me “CUT” and tell me where you’re starting.

Most people know how to work.
We work for our families, our jobs, our bills, and every responsibility that refuses to wait.
Somewhere in the middle of carrying everything, it becomes easy to stop putting any work back into ourselves.

Life is heavy for a lot of people right now. We cannot control every pressure, setback, or uncertainty around us.
But we can begin with what is still ours to govern.

Your body is the vessel carrying you through every season. Caring for it is not vanity. It is preparation for everything else life will ask of you.

Training will not solve every problem. But it gives you somewhere to act, and evidence that change is still possible.
The good days make commitment easy.
The long winters, when bad days become weeks and months, are where commitment is forged.

Start with what you can control.

Keep one promise to yourself today.

Then build from there.

Heavy enough to demand intent. Light enough to move fast.

This session was about bridging load and speed. Working around 80% of a 1RM, keeping things tight, and touch and go.

185 × 10
225 × 5
275 × 1
295 × 5
260 × 5 backoff

Strength isn’t only what you can grind. It’s also what you can move with control and intent.

The new garage setup is coming together.

Last week was an audit, juggling four kids, and trying to keep everything else moving.

Honestly, I’m smoked.

But that’s part of why I’m building Hadrian.

Most men don’t need a plan designed for perfect weeks. They need one that can survive work, fatherhood, exhaustion, and real life.

Nothing profound today. Just a look at where the work is going to happen.

New setup. Same mission.

Lose the fat. Not the strength.

445 × 3. Beltless.

Heavy sets don’t just test your strength. They expose where it starts to leak.

As the weight climbed, my hips began beating my chest off the floor, leaving my back and hips to finish more of the lift than I’d want.

That’s not an excuse. That’s information.

If you never push hard enough to challenge your position, you never find the weak points holding you back. The goal isn’t to practice ugly reps. It’s to approach the edge, identify what breaks down, and build the next phase of training around fixing it.

Now the work is clear: brace harder, keep the chest and hips rising together, and strengthen the position that started leaking.

Push. Assess. Rebuild.

LOSE THE FAT. NOT THE STRENGTH.

This is me.

Good lighting. A pump. A flattering angle.

And still very much a work in progress.

The black tank was late May/early June. The gray tank is now. I see progress, and I’m proud of it,
but I’m not going to pretend these pictures tell the whole story.

Lighting, posing, angles and a pump can completely change how a physique looks. Social media has distorted what most of us believe we’re supposed to look like. We compare our cold, relaxed reflection under bathroom lighting to someone else’s best picture and decide we’re failing.

I’m still carrying fat. I’m still working toward where I want to be. Some days I look like these pictures. Other days I absolutely do not.

Both are me.

My old lifting belts are too big. My strength is still climbing. The work is working, even if it isn’t finished.

This isn’t a finish-line photo. It’s an accountability photo.

LOSE THE FAT. NOT THE STRENGTH.

There's nothing wrong with being big. There's something wrong with being big and calling it healthy when it isn't.

I see it constantly, blood pressure, bad joints, no sleep, and it still gets filed under "bulking." That's not a phase. That's avoidance with a gym membership.

Real strength shows up in your numbers everywhere, not just your total.

Lose the fat. Not the strength.
Don't lose your health either.

What's the lie you tell yourself to avoid the cut?

Six months ago, I couldn’t do a single pull-up.

This week, I hit 8.5 reps at 265 pounds.

I’ve spent years chasing bigger numbers on the bench and deadlift—but strength isn’t only measured by how much weight you can move.

It’s also measured by how well you can move yourself.

The goal isn’t just to lose weight. It’s to become stronger relative to the weight you carry.

Lose the fat. Not the strength.

What’s one movement you’re determined to improve this year?

A plan built only for perfect weeks is not a real-life plan.

Build three settings before life forces you to improvise:

IDEAL
4 full sessions. Meals prepared. Steps handled.

BUSY
3 shorter sessions. Repeatable meals. Protein stays high.

SURVIVAL
2 full-body sessions. Hit protein. Walk every day.

The goal is not to lower the standard whenever life gets hard. It is to keep the standard from disappearing.

Save this and write your three versions before you need them.

The scale is not the only place to judge a fat-loss phase. Your training log matters too.

One bad session is noise. But if the same lifts keep falling, recovery is getting worse, and normal work suddenly feels maximal, look at the trend.

Before you abandon the cut, check:
• The size of the deficit
• Protein intake
• Carbs around training
• Sleep and recovery
• Whether training volume is still realistic

Fat loss creates fatigue. It should not dismantle the strength you are trying to preserve.

Save this for your next weekly check-in.
