There is a joy in being onstage.
Once upon a time, I never would have said that. Then I learned how to transform nerves into energy, vulnerability into connection.
Of course, what happens on stage is only a small part of the story. There's a process behind it: creativity and strategy and stubborn determination.
I encourage my clients to approach their day-to-day speaking goals pragmatically, reminding them that "it's not a TED talk!" It took actually becoming a TEDx speaker to understand how true that really is. This took a LOT of work, friends. But I have zero regrets. The opportunity to get attention on an idea that matters, to stretch my speaking skill set, and to do all that alongside some very smart and inspiring people? Count me in, any day.
The video will be available in Spring 2026, and in the meantime I have plans to do some videos reflecting on the process. Make sure to sign up for my newsletter (https://stagelight.ca/) to make sure you get them!
But first, I rest. I'm turning my focus back to my clients and my business and my family, as the holiday season approaches. Getting ready for the next joyful opportunity.
