You’ve always been by my side and you’re still with me today, just like God’s grace. You’ll never leave me nor forsake me and I’m forever grateful for your love and friendship. It’s marked me for life and helped me be the person I am today. I hope that every time someone encounters me or meets me, they get a glimpse of the impact you’ve had on me my entire life of knowing you. To all of my Carter Alum, I have the honor of working with Don Thomas II (), renowned photographer/artist, on his photography project “Village Oak Cliff,” which will highlight the authentic history and positive imagery of our Oak Cliff community, culture, and its people.

We plan on having a “Carter HS Legends” photo shot in front of the school on October 22nd, before the football home game vs. Wilmer-Hutch (time TBD soon). If you’re interested and/or know of any other “Carter HS Legends” that need to be a part of this moment, please shoot me and him a group message.
