Unilateral work challenges the body differently than bilateral work.

Today’s workout put that into practice.

Training one side at a time challenges strength, control and coordination in a way that bilateral work can sometimes hide. It also asks the rest of the body to stay organized, resist rotation and keep producing force.

Then we bring both sides back together and put that control to work.

That’s the point of the program: not just doing exercises, but understanding what each piece is building toward.

Swipe through for a quick look at why unilateral work matters.

The best coaching often happens before a word is spoken.

Watching the feet. The posture. The timing. The smallest details that determine whether a movement becomes stronger, safer, and more effective.

At EVOLVE, every correction has a purpose—and every athlete deserves that level of attention.

Have you taken Sharif’s class? For those new to the community, Sharif is our head coach at EVOLVE, known for his sharp eye for movement, deep technical knowledge, and ability to break down complex mechanics into simple, actionable cues that athletes can immediately apply.
