The Best Part of Waking Up

Romans 12:1
“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.”

How do you start your day? Try lifting your hands to God and praising Him for all that you have. Say, “Lord, I praise You that You gave Yourself for me.”

How beautiful it is that God pours His life into you. Then put your hands up, bow your head, surrender, and say, “Now, Lord, I yield to You. Live Your life through me.” He gave Himself for you so that He might live His life through you.

That is the beginning of a great day. You must dethrone sin; you must say, “Satan, I’m not going to let you do that. You have no right. You’re trespassing on my Father’s property, and in the name of Jesus and by the authority of the Word of God, leave me alone.” And then, “Lord Jesus, I put You on the throne of my life today. Lord, I am Your servant. I’m here to do Your will.”

The Lord Will Be My Helper—I Will Not Fear

So that we may boldly say, “The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.” - Hebrews 13:6

If you are going to face this year with steadfast resolve, you must find your contentment, your companionship, and your confidence in Christ. And then you'll find your comfort in Christ. Then you may boldly say, “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear what man shall do unto me.”
I'm not trying to tell you life’s going to be all honey and no bees. No, the Christians in the book of Hebrews faced heartaches and trials. They had opposition from family, friends and foes alike. They faced mockery and brutality. Yet they could boldly say, “The Lord is my helper."
Friend, this coming year may be difficult for you. But I am telling you that you can stand upon the promises of the Word of God.

We don't know what the coming year will bring—sickness, heartache, or trouble. But I do know that you can boldly say, “The Lord will be my helper. I will not fear what man shall do to me.” Find your contentment, your companionship, and your confidence in Jesus. In Him you will find your comfort and your courage. We may not know what tomorrow holds, but rest assured in knowing who holds tomorrow.

Not Allowing Past Sins to Silence Our Witness

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” - 1 John 1:9

A young preacher was called out of a life of sin to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. While in the pulpit one day, he received a note in which someone had written all his past sins. In addition it read, “Aren’t you ashamed of yourself? And you’re up there telling people to get right with God!”

Do you know what the young preacher did? He read that note, bowed his head in prayer, stood up and said, “Ladies and gentleman I have received a note, and here is what it says.” Then, in front of that whole crowd, he read every one of those sins. Then he said this: “Yes, I am ashamed of myself, but I am not ashamed of my Savior!”

What are some past sins in your life that are holding you back from fully proclaiming God’s power to others? Confess them and bury them in His sea of forgetfulness. When He forgives, He forgets! Glory!

Well I am like Dorthy from the Wizard of Oz. There's no place like home. We had a great trip to the Holy Land. I learned so much and was over whelmed with a lot of the new information I was shown. I tried to soak it all up like a sponge. I can truthfully say now that I have run where Jesus walked. I am also glad that I can also say I have now been where He walked but even more happy to say that I AM GOING TO WHERE HE IS. GLORY !!!!!!!!
