You can only see how the pieces fit together when looking back. Accept fully what is. It’s only from that place where something new can arise. I trust that my path, and yours, is unfolding exactly how it is meant to be. 🙏

Have you experienced main quests falling away for new quests to emerge? ⚔️

When I started movement, I couldn’t handstand, rest in squat, or balance on a rail. I often had back pain I didn’t know how to resolve. Movement practice gave me so much more than just tools. It was a way to understand my body. A practice to observe myself. And a way of life.

I just released a YouTube video documenting my last seven years of movement practice. It’s funny to look back at my original clips and where I began, just as I hope it’s funny to look back at my current videos seven years from now.

If the video inspires you to want to start your own practice, let me know. Everyone starts somewhere, so let’s start where you’re at. 🙏

Search: “seven year movement practice transformation” to find the video on YouTube.

The way through overwhelm and numbness is to find a practice that incorporates sensation while also allowing you to see through it.

For me, that starts with stillness and expands into movement. Sensing the body first and then putting it to good use.

Starting is easy. Here’s what works for me. Stand still for a couple minutes, connect to sensation, then begin to articulate the spine.

I start working with others from the same foundation. Everyone is unique, but a hammer works for most nails. If you want to get started, send me a message.

You’ve got to pull over and get gas eventually so you might as well pay attention to your body during these precious moments!

Roadtrip or not, the metaphor remains. Don’t allow your busy life to become an excuse to ignore your body. You only need a few patterns in the beginning. After so much sitting, your body is begging for more nutritious options to keep it healthy and mobile. Especially that spine, back, and those legs. Get in some leg swings, forward folds, and resting squats. You’ll thank yourself later. Report back here on how it goes so others can find inspiration.

Too much fun making this video. A bit of a joke, and yet not a joking at all. Fix your body through movement. If you need help getting started, comment “start” to get a five-minute road trip movement snack later today that you can follow along to.

If this message resonates, perhaps you’re being called to follow a dream of your own. To step into the light and carve out your path beyond the cave. If you need aid on your journey, I’ll be here.

If you made it this far, you’ll likely enjoy my future book about a dream warrior. I’m excited to share more in the future. Until then, may your inner warrior listen to the call and find its way forward.

Crawling on the ground offers the body a certain kind of nutrition density. All of this pushing, twisting, rotation, coordination, bent limbs, straight limbs, compression, extension, elasticity, (the list goes on), creates an opportunity to not only work out but to explore and create.

Movement is a radical shift in perspective. You have the opportunity to dance without becoming a dancer. To become an artist who builds castles in the sand. To observe without gaining. To see what arises and reap the benefits.

This type of movement is beyond push and pull and leap and jump. In this way, it is more comparable to a sport without competition. To music and song writing. It is a multi-thousand piece puzzle where you and handed the pieces and get to thread them together and make them your own.

Last observation. All of this is done in time. If you can find moments of continuity in practice, you now know what it’s like to experience continuity, and can connect that sense to all realms outside the context of this particular container. You already know, but reminders help, too.

Everyone starts somewhere. If you want something small to get the ball rolling, let me know!

Second draft completed! ✅

It’s been a long road, and the road goes on. I’ll say that, while the work doesn’t have to be fun to be fun, I’ve never had more fun writing than this book. I’m excited to share it with you one day.

It has adventure, dreams, swords, magic, demons… more will be revealed in time. ✨⚔️

A few calls to action.

1) Check out the latest blog post to learn more about this draft

2) Let me know if you want to alpha read. That time is nearing. Looking for readers who read fantasy, adventure fantasy, epic fantasy, sword and sorcery, samurai and sorcery.

3) Join the Book Launch List. One email, notifying you at the time of the book’s release.

Now, back to your regularly scheduled movement content. 🎾

One pattern.
20 minutes.
As many reps as possible.

This framework can aid in strength and conditioning.

As for skill development? That needs a process behind it.

Process is important because no one starts with the handstand push up. The layers that come before need refinement. Meanwhile, strength and conditioning can occur at any layer.

A guided process expedites learning.
A simple practice allows you to focus on what truly matters.

If you want guidance on your process or accountability in your workouts, let me know.
