Brother David Tyson, Jr. was initiated into the Beta Sigma Chapter in 1973, and is currently a member of the Xi Tau Lambda Chapter in North Dallas County, TX. He was the first person of color elected to the Richardson ISD School Board, serving Richardson, TX and North Dallas. TX. Brother Tyson served on the RISD School Board from 2004 to 2010. He paved the way for the first Black female, elected in 2019 and the first Hispanic elected in 2020. Today, we recognize Brother David Tyson, Jr. for making history with this extraordinary achievement.

Family, today we loss Aunt Dorothy Tyson Vaughn. Let us be prayed up for her children and grandchildren. I'm glad she and dad got to see each other on earth at the family reunion in 2017. Now rest my near Aunt Dorothy

July 14th - 6:30 pm to 8:30pm - Gathering of cousins at Dave & Busters - games and dinner ( optional) on your own - 9450 N. Central Expy., Dallas, 75231

July 15th - 11am to 2:30pm - Family reunion luncheon - All White or black and white attire, no jeans, Family photo will be taken before lunch is served.

3:00 to 5:00 pm - Optional Tour of African American Museum $2.00 per person - Fair Park, South Dallas

July 16th - 10am - Hamilton Park United Methodist Church - Worship Service - 2 miles from hotel, 11881 Schroeder Rd., Dallas 75243

4:00 to 7:30 pm - Family fish fry and outing - dress casual and bring your swim gear (especially kids) @ Home of David & Linda Tyson - about 2 miles from hotel. PM for address.
