Why should you matter to someone else, when you don't matter to yourself?

You ever stop to think that the reason most people quite often feel alone, sad, disappointed, and depressed is because they spend so much time stuck in the past, worried about the future or have a high expectation of thise who are incapable of fulfilling their social and emotional needs.

The hardest part is doing the work one knows must be done to overvome the toughest challenges of their lives. With each comes clarity, strength, healing and ultimately intrinsic peace and joy.

Those who clearly can not fulfill the empty voids of their own lives should not be given charge over your health and happiness.

When you stop expecting emotional squatters and social vagrants to value or reciprically love, respect, and support you, you free up the empty void, mental and emotional spaces in your life to preserve it for yourself oand only to be reserved for those worthy of the space you allow them to take up space in.

There will never be a person on this earth to complete you, console you or live your life for you.

The strongest of relationships and truest of friendship should never be transactional. The return of such relationships yields one very little in comparison to the considerable amount of time, effort and energy invested.

To truly be free from the weight of disapointment, sadness and depression one eventually grows tired of their mental, emotional, spiritual, and social bank accounts being always empty.

Be the person for yourself you wish others to be for you.

Tips to find happiness and inner peace this year:

👉🏾Stop expecting the people in your life to show up for you the way you desire or need them.to..

👉🏾Stop carrying the emotional and social bagage of those who can not carry their own.

👉🏾Stop expecting the people that come into yourlife to show up for you the way you show up for them.

👉🏾Let them be who they reveal themselves to you to be.

👉🏾Remove yourself from trying to fit into social circles that do not serve you.

👉🏾Be quiet and still in your times and needs of emotional and social companionship, which causes you insufferable distress.

👉🏾Allow yourself theopportunitiess to be affirmed, loved, supported, and valued by those you affirm, love and support.

👉🏾 Stop chasing, divesting, and nogotiating your time and energy, trying to preserve or nurture relationships with those unable to meet your social and emotional needs.

👉🏾Be the kind of friend, cheer leader, fan, admirer, and love of your own life.

Those such as myself who make it a priority to give to their family and friends all year around in every capacity; chronologically, emotionally, spiritually, physically and socialy may often feel they are always under valued or taken for granted, or forgotten, particulary during the holidays.

It's the thought that counts, right!

The holidays can be a lovely time, but they can also be difficult for many

The hopes of receiving for once, family conflicts, work stress, financial stress, loneliness, and giving to those who give nothing in return can be quite disappointing and upsetting.

In my blogs and podcast, I share my thoughts and feelings regarding the importance and value of family, friendship, and nurturing in-depth relationships.

As men, particularly those who are single, it is my hope to help them navigate their thoughts and feelings while managing the holidays in healthy ways.

The reality for a lot of people during a time that is festive and cheerful for many but not for those who find themselves feeling especially alone, left out and unthought of during the holidays may experience the following challenges difficult to navigate:

-You don't have to be the giver. Your love and support is gift enough. You have faithfully and devotedly been the gift to everyone all year around because it brings you joy.

-Not everyone may have the capacity to be as considerate and thoughtful as you.
