It is with a saddened heart to inform everyone our Lord has called another angel to heaven. Linda Key passed away today 01DEC22 around 4:20pm peacefully at Wellstar Hospice.

A Celebration of life will be on Friday, 09DEC22, from 6-8pm. The funeral will be held Next Saturday, 10DEC22, located at West Cobb Funeral Home. (https://www.westcobbfuneralhome.com)

It is with a saddened heart to inform you the Linda Key has been diagnosed with stage 4 liver cancer. Currently Linda, is in hospice care at Wellstar hospice near kennestone hospital.

Larry is spending as much time with Linda as possible at the hospice center.

An open love letter to my wife, Linda

I love you so much. A little over 22 years ago I got down on my hands and knees in Pil Sung Do on a Friday night and prayed to God, “you know the woman I need, and I know you will send her to me.” That next morning you pulled up, got out of that little blue jimmy, came in to do a kick boxing class, and I thought you were the most beautiful woman I’d ever seen. I fell in love with you right then and didn’t even know your name. Wow, is God awesome or what? From that first meeting to where we are now, we built such a wonderful life. Even though we didn’t have much money, we somehow found a way to take unbelievable vacations and build amazing things in our house. I was the builder, you were the sculptor. We always seem to come to the right decision on what we were trying to do. So honey, when I look around, I will see you everywhere. You’re always going to be with me. I have a broken heart right now, but everything that we’ve done out at the house, everything we did at the martial arts school, you were the rock. Everybody loved you. They respected me, but they loved you. All these memories will heal my broken heart. When we found out you were sick, and how bad sick you were, I couldn’t sleep that first night. As I dozed in and out, God came to me and told me “you’ve been together for 22 years, you’re going to be apart less than that, and then you will spend eternity together”. Knowing that God knows that we are Christians and has already told us that we’re going to heaven, it is the joy in me that when I die, you will be there to wrap your arms around me and show me heaven. It’s the faith that I have in the belief that God loves me so much that for some reason, he tells me things. I’ve always wondered why God has saved me so many times from death, when I should have died. I truly believe that this last time when I nearly drowned in the Gauley River, he saved me so I could be here with you. Although you seem to be the stronger one helping me more than I am helping you. Linda, you’re my everything. I just thank God that I have my kids and they love me. I didn’t think one person could ever love a human being as much as I love you. And honey I will hold that love in my heart until I see you again. So honey, I know you’re hurting, I know your weak, I know you’re tired. So when God comes down to take you home, embrace him and go with him. I don’t know when I’ll be there, but I do know it’s less than 22 years. God loves us and I love you. Sleep my darling, sleep.

To all my students that have ever trained with me in Pil Sung Do and Choi, I just want to say from the bottom of my heart, getting to know each and every one of you and your families has and still is a blessing, To all my Black Belts, I know you trained hard and gave me ever thing that you had. I just want to thank all of you, this is my 30th year in martial arts and since I started as an owner even before I was a yellow belt, I guess you can say I’ve been teaching for 30 years. All of you have kept me young and strong, I love what I do. When you stop by to see me after being gone for a few years you lift me up. Saturday one of you called me, it gave me goose bumps when he told me his story, you see he joined the military, then Special Forces. He told me the military spends thousands of dollars teaching them how to kill, none on how to stay alive. He said, “Master Key the skills in Pil Sung Do you taught me, the knowledge you gave me saved my live 3 times in Afghanistan. This has to be the greatest complement that I have ever gotten. This young man has been giving a medical discharge; you see he was blown off a 3 story building in Afghanistan, damage to his hip and shoulders, he says he is fine know and hopes to be back training with me in a month. People ask me why I do what I do, this is just 1 reason, there are so many and all of you have a part, thank you for 30 years and who knows how many more, Love you and God bless all of you like he has blessed me.

Pil Sung Do will be hosting a Winter Break Day Camp.
The camp will be from February 15 thru February 19 2016.
Camp will be between the hours of 7am till 6pm.

Many of you may not be aware of this. About 9 months ago, PSD placed an order with Tiffin Athletic Mats Inc. located in Elkton, MD to replace our mats in the Dojang. Unfortunately we do not know when we will be receiving our mats or if we will actually receive any mat.

A recent investigation conducted by NBC, has discovered that many business have paid Tiffin Athletic Mats Inc. for mats but have not received any mats, yet Tiffin Athletic Mats Inc. has cashed all the checks.

Unfortunately, we, PSD, are a victim in this elaborate scheme. We are currently working with our bank and creditor to pursue a Full refund.

Tiffin Mats customers stuck waiting for orders, refunds It has been a waiting game for some customers of a Maryland company that manufactures athletic equipment.

Due to freezing weather conditions, PSD has elected to close today (2/25/15). PSD will reopen Thursday for normal classes.
