Our 2026 (Magical) Intramural Open is almost here! ✨

📅 Starts Friday Feb 27th (Through March 16th)
👥 All welcome
💪 Workouts announced Thursdays (beginning today) and may be done from Thursday ➡️ Monday. We will take on the workouts as a community on Fridays (02/27 & 03/6) and Saturday (03/14).

Teams can earn points by:
• Doing the Open workouts
• ✅ in to classes
•Top 3 performers/division
• Weekly challenges
• Overall participation and engagement

What gets measured gets improved.📏

The CrossFit Open is our annual fitness benchmark. Three weeks of workouts that provide important data and honest results about where you are and what needs to be worked on next. It will humble you. It will also show you how far you've come.

It also gives you something to train towards. And that matters more than most people realize. When you have a goal on the calendar, your training sharpens. The random Tuesday workout stops feeling random. You walk in with a reason, and you walk out knowing it counted.

But what makes it special isn't the leaderboard. It's the atmosphere in this gym when everyone is in it together. It's your teammates refusing to let you give less than your best. It's the way this community wraps itself around a challenge and makes even the hardest workouts something you can show up for.

That's why we encourage you all to do it. Year after year, together.

A lot can happen in a year.📆

Our members showed up, trained hard, enjoyed life, hit some PR's, learned some lessons, navigated hardships, and made it through another year together. We can do it again in 2026!

Celebrate your wins for the year (no matter how small) and take ownership of areas that need work. What do you want to achieve this year? Better health? More consistency? A new PR? Write it down. Get specific and start thinking about how you plan on making it happen.

You don't have to do it alone. We are here to help! If you're willing to put in the work, focus on the basics, challenge yourself, and do it all with a community that has your back...we got you.

While 2026 will bring our community into a new space, the mission stays the same. Continue to build the basics (over and over). Emphasize the importance of sustainable nutrition. Keep programming simple and effective. Deliver an engaging class experience with exceptional coaching in a culture that welcomes anyone seeking self-improvement. We're committed to bettering ourselves, and we hope you'll join us.

Ready to build on your gymnastics skills?

Today marks day1️⃣ of a new supplemental gymnastics cycle designed to build the gymnastic strength and skill you need to tackle the CF Open with confidence.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘀:
When: 3 sessions a week- programmed on M/W/F
Where: find the program under 𝘞𝘰𝘳𝘬 𝘠𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘞𝘦𝘢𝘬𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴
Duration: 30-45 minutes per session

MEMBER OF THE MONTH👊

Billy is the definition of longevity in fitness. He’s been training CrossFit since he was a teenager, and what’s impressive isn’t just how long he’s been at it, it’s how he’s adapted and evolved his training over the years.

Life changes, schedules shift, and priorities evolve, but Billy keeps showing up. We’ve watched him adjust his training schedule when needed and continues to find a way to make it work. That’s the mindset that separates those who train for a season from those who train for a lifetime. Billy embodies what MGCF is all about, sustainable fitness built for the long haul.

We appreciate your coachability, participation in community events, and willingness to support the team and contribute to the culture we’re building here.

If you’ve been around MGCF for a while, you know Bryam. And if you’ve been paying attention this past year, you’ve watched him level up in ways that go way beyond the whiteboard.

Bryam’s been part of our community since 2021, and from day one, his passion for performance has been obvious. But here’s the thing about real growth: it’s rarely just one thing. This past year, Bryam made the decision that so many of us know we need to make but struggle to commit to, he dialed in his nutrition to align with his goals to increase performance.

Balancing family, work, and fitness/nutrition is not always easy. It takes discipline and the mindset to make it happen. It has taken getting creative but he makes it work!

We see you balancing it all and still showing up for your family. That’s what this community is about. People putting in the real work, not just in the gym, but in life.

Spooky szn calls for a tricky partner WOD with treats to follow! 🎃
