Legacy West Announces Grand Opening Weekend Celebration Activities

Legacy West, the largest new mixed-use destination in North Texas, invites the public to attend its grand opening celebration during the June 2-4, 2017, weekend. The celebration will feature live entertainment from top national and local musical acts as well as food and drink tastings, special store discounts and a “sneak peek” first look inside Legacy Hall, the 55,000 square foot food hall.

Developer Fehmi Karahan couldn’t be more excited. “The only thing better than watching this new magnificent project evolve from ground breaking to grand opening, is seeing fabulous new store and restaurants open and watching people genuinely enjoy the experience we have worked so hard to create,” said Karahan. “I can’t wait to hear the music, feel the vibe, and savor the taste of it all.”

The concert line-up will include the Jordan Kahn Music Company performing Friday, June 2 starting at 7:30pm, followed by Emerald City Band on Saturday, June 3 at 2pm and Party on the Moon Band at 7:30pm. On Sunday, June 4, Taylor Pace Band will take the main stage at 2pm.

Many Legacy West restaurants will offer food and drink tastings throughout the weekend including Bistro 31, Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steak House, Earls Kitchen + Bar, Fogo de Chao, Haywire, Mesero, Shake Shack, Starbucks Reserve, Taverna, True Food Kitchen, and Toulouse. Legacy Hall, a 55,000 square foot food hall, will offer tours to the public for the first time and will also have several of its food stall operators on site sampling their menu items. Sprinkles will serve an exclusive Legacy West Chocolate Caramel cupcake and True Food Kitchen will offer a special cocktail called the Plano Paloma, only available June 2-4.

Legacy West retailers including Bonobos, Coach, Fabletics, Filson, Johnny Was, Peter Millar, Pockets Menswear, Suitsupply, Tesla, Tommy Bahama, TUMI, and West Elm will host special in-store events, parties and exclusive discounts and promotions. Also participating, The Renaissance Dallas at Plano Legacy West Hotel and Visit Plano.

Grand Opening Weekend event times will be Friday, June 2, 5pm-9:30pm, Saturday, June 3, 12pm-9:30pm and Sunday, June 4, 12pm-5pm.

Uno shared her special talents with the best creation at TASTE THE DIFFERENCE Special Event at Fair Park. She serves a delicious array of Small Plates which she calls "Shared Dining" at her highly successful little cooking kitchen called Chino Chinatown Restaurant in Trinity Groves.

WHERE TO EAT: VALENTINE'S DATE NIGHT II

It's that time of year,again, for me to recommend where to go for Valentine's Date Night II. I will still start with the best thing that I have ever eaten in my entire life: the Deep Fried Lobster Tail at Nick & Sam's. By now you know by reading my reviews that everyone is always a special guest at Nick & Sam's. Even if it still not on the regular menu and only presented to VIP's and special guests like you and me!

NICK & SAM'S FRIED LOBSTER,THE BEST THING I EVER ATE


Beside Fearing's Deep Fried Lobster and the one best one bite that I have ever scarfed down my throat his Butternut Squash Taquito, his Rattlesnake Bar remains the best place in Dallas to pickup beautiful women,if you don't have a Valentine date and can afford the drinks and their Mercedes Valet tickets. Of course, you can never go wrong with anything that says STEAK on the menu at Ser Steak + Spirits on the 27th floor of the Anatole Hotel boasting a great romantic view of downtown at no extra cost! Speaking of great steaks, you can't go wrong at Fogo de Chao where you can continuously sample 11 different slices of succulent Brazilian Steaks from Gaucho Chefs. At Ocean Prime, they will do just what they say : Prime Beef and fresh Seafood in a great atmosphere.
You can't forget about the 1/10 of a spoonful of Ghost Pepper Chili that I tried at the Holy Grail Pub in Plano. For more heat, just follow maniac Chef extraordinary John Tesar around town where he's popping up as Executive Chef for Restaurants even faster than he's closing them.

VOTED SEXIEST CHEF IN DFW:BE MY VALENTINE!
Voted sexiest Female Chef in Dallas by the Press Club of North Texas, you will never be disappointed spending Valentine's Night with Chef Uno at her Chino Chinatown Restaurant in Trinity Groves. Even though I got food poisoning on uncooked Wings, I'll never get tired of her firm Chicken Breasts or hot Pork Buns. For a little more sass, I would skip Valentine's dinner all together and wait for the spectacular Sunday Brunch Buffet New Mexico style at Blue Mesa Grill. For a more formal brunch do not miss the Landmark's Sunday Brunch in the Warwick Melrose Hotel.

A VALENTINE'S QUADRUPLE DATE: IN N OUT 4 X 4 BURGER
My new GO TO Burger is the IN N OUT BURGER with an ANIMAL SYTLE SAUCED 4 X 4 . Speaking of Burgers Thank God, Jason Boso created Twisted Root Burger. The Diners,Drive Ins and Dives Dallas hero is now also the fame creator of the Truckyard with authentic Philly Cheesesteak with Wiz on Lower Greenville for my back home craving. Also on lower Greenville is one of my new favorite stop at Clark Food & Wine Co for romantic small plates that you can share. It would take 6 nights to eat dinner with your Valentine at Kenny Bower's 4 unique eateries. I would dash to Kenny's flagship Wood Fire Grill and let him throw everything Steak, Asparagus and Sunday night $1 special Rib on his wood fire grill. Then head on over to the other side of Addison for fabulous Lasagne at his Italian Kitchen before a full plate of Hickory smoked BBQ at his Legacy location for the Smokehouse sampler. Finally, taking my 3rd attempt at his 7 lbs El Jeffe Burger with the works at his Burger Joint before I repeat myself at Kenny's 2nd Burger joint in Frisco before I head back to Kenny's wood Fire Grill!
I could not even begin to tell you what to order at Matt McAllister's FT 33, the nationally acclaimed Restaurant of the Year is simply indescribable for even a seasoned Food Writer like me. Try rustling a seat for yourself at table 33 which is the chef's table and closest to his Daily menu board then order all 4 of his seasonal Appetizers, Entrees and Desserts without question!

EVERY DISH AT FT 33 IS INDESCRIBABLE!

I'm am going to continue to send my readers to healthier spots like Cedars Wood Fire Grill for their Salmon Wrap, Bread Zeppelin Classic 48 oz custom made Salads and everything on the menu at Seasons 52. But ,I must also recommend Taverna Rossa, Neo Pizzeria and I Fratella for a fantastic Pizza to share!
Over the past two years I have reviewed and praised the dining at Lavondou, Luby's, Pegaso Ft .Worth and the Old Mill Inn. You would not being doing yourself and your significant other wrong to spend a night away form the Beer and Nachos for an evening at any Dallas Dining Destinations.
Unfortunately,I am on a diet and will be dining on my own creation of a Salad with a mixture of Seafood at Salata. Or screw it all and go back to the FIVE STAR La Cano at Zoetry Paraiso de la Bonita Wellness Spa & Resort in Riviera Maya.
