I’m too tired to train.”
A new study of 16,000 people found the average parent picks up their phone 30+ times a day for no specific reason. Over two hours. Every day.
That’s your walk. Your lift. Your food prep. Your wind-down before bed. All of it — spent, and you didn’t even choose to spend it.
And no, you’re not weak. These apps are engineered to hold you. The people who ran the study said so themselves.
So we’re not telling you to delete anything.
Swap 20 minutes. 5 days a week. That’s where the Lean Blueprint starts.

Made from 1.5” wide double-ply sling shot material the Shake Handle Attachments are designed to attach to a cable machine via the O-ring at the top. The attachment measures 11.5” in length and a (thick) 1.5” (standard) 1.2” thick grip & 5.5” long handle.
The patent pending design uses Sling Shot material that stretches, allowing a greater range of motion compared to the standard attachments. The stretch of the material creates a banded feeling creating a greater “pump” as you can get deeper in the movements for greater muscle contraction. Each attachment forces greater core and muscle stabilization. It allows for you to get more from less and you don’t need to use a ton of weight to get the most out of the movement and the attachment.
Every month you spend in the wrong program is a month your metabolism adapts further in the wrong direction.
That’s not a scare tactic. That’s physiology.
Here’s what actually happens when the protocol is wrong and the pattern keeps running:
Your body reads chronic training stress as a threat. Metabolic rate downregulates to conserve energy. Muscle tissue gets broken down when fuel isn’t adequate to sustain performance. Hormonal output — cortisol, thyroid, reproductive hormones — shifts to prioritize survival over adaptation.
And the longer that environment persists, the more entrenched those adaptations become.
Six months in the wrong protocol doesn’t just mean six months of no progress. It means the starting point you’re working from has moved — and not in your favor.
These adaptations are reversible. But reversing them takes time, precision, and a protocol built around what your body actually needs right now — not what worked for someone else, and not what you’ve been told to push through.
The best time to fix it is now.
If the effort has been there and the result hasn’t — DM me the word READY.
That’s exactly what I build protocols to correct.

Month one is deceptively kind — glycogen depletes, water shifts, appetite hasn’t fought back yet. The scale moves fast because the body hasn’t started defending itself.
That changes. Hunger sharpens, energy dips, plateaus show up uninvited. That’s not prep going wrong — that’s prep working. Fat loss isn’t linear, and the back half is where the real adaptation happens.
Gabby’s building toward her first wellness show, and this stage is just the warm-up. The real test starts when motivation isn’t doing the heavy lifting anymore — the protocol is.
Follow along as we take her through the rest of prep. This is only the beginning. 🔥
New AHA research says up to 5 cups of coffee a day (≈400mg caffeine) is linked to a 20-30% lower risk of type 2 diabetes plus reduced stroke and heart failure risk. The catch: it has to be filtered or instant — French press retains cafestol, which raises LDL cholesterol. Energy drinks don’t count either.
Coffee can be part of a smart performance routine — brew method matters just as much as intake.
👉 Save this post for your next grocery run, and comment your go-to brew method — filtered, instant, or French press?
Most programs skip the assessment and go straight to the spreadsheet.
Here’s what actually happens when Kristen takes on a client:
Onboarding — training history, hormonal status, injury pattern, what’s failed before and why it failed.
Assessment — movement screen, strength baseline, body comp. Sometimes labs. This is the step most coaches skip because it takes time and doesn’t look good in a highlight reel.
Protocol build — volume, intensity, frequency, nutrition. Set from what the assessment showed. Not from a template.
Check-ins — weekly. Not optional. Your body doesn’t care what the plan said in week one.
Adjustments — the actual coaching. If the plan looks identical in week four, nobody was coaching you.
A protocol that doesn’t adjust isn’t a protocol. It’s a PDF with your name on it.

Working from home removes the only excuse people have. You don’t need a gym, a treadmill, or a change of clothes. Eat lunch, walk the block, walk the stairs, walk the driveway — 10 minutes, then back to work.
Do it with your spouse and it’s not “exercise,” it’s just what happens after you eat. No motivation required, no negotiation each day. It’s stacked onto something you already do together.
Small window. Real leverage. Use it.
Everyone talks about active recovery. Nobody mentions that ours involves a 9-iron, questionable swing mechanics, and a scoreboard neither of us can read without arguing.
This is what a “rest day” looks like after a week of programmed volume and meal prep math — not a foam roller, a driving range with a leaderboard for your ego.
Swing was rough. Form was rougher. Marriage survived.
That’s the whole protocol, really.
3 diff classes all working hard to be our best we can be. We train for first but never expect it.
Of course I’m toxic. I grew up thinking pain meant progress, not damage.
Muscle burn is stimulus. Joint pain is a warning. I trained myself to ignore the difference — that’s why both my knees are titanium.
Know where the pain lives before you push through it.
