Here is a really good set up I picked up from jj Racaza. Low confirmation paper and higher confirmation on steel. Paper is about 7 yards, steel about 18. With this one 3 target array, you can train endlessly. How you design your course of fire is up to you, but you have the target variety to challenge. Of course you can add some movement in as well. Efficient use of training time is maximized since there is no need to reset the target array. EDC with medical, handgun skills workshop and CQB INTRO all coming up. Link for more info in the bio. Everyone knows this type of “instructor.” OBVIOUSLY relying on distant past skill and training and never sought out training to update or stay current. So who do you want to train with? Professional athletes train continually for moments they know are coming. Yet many law-enforcement officers receive only minimal, infrequent training—then are expected to perform flawlessly during unpredictable, high-risk encounters.
Qualification is not the same as preparation.
A badge, a title, or years on the job cannot replace current, consistent and realistic training. When the moment arrives, there will be no time to develop the skills you failed to build beforehand.
