We proudly congratulate Hall of Fame LHHS Head Wrestling Coach Pete Grieder on receiving the 2026 LHHS Distinguished Service Award.

For 32 years, Coach Grieder served as Head Wrestling Coach while also teaching Geometry at LHHS. During his tenure, he earned over 400 dual meet victories, 24 district championships, and 6 regional championships.

He developed 159 state qualifiers, 48 state placers, and 3 individual state champions. Coach Grieder is a true legend whose impact will be felt for generations.

If you were in the wrestling room with Coach Grieder, you felt his impact every day!

On April 19 in front of more than 150 attendees, Coach Grieder was one of five distinguished recipients recognized for their lasting contributions

We had a great past two days hosting Lake Highlands Junior High sixth graders on a field trip to the wrestling room. Girls got to learn about wrestling being the fastest growing girls sport and learned the history of Fernanda Lopez being our most recent girls state champ. They also found out that their current coach, Isaac Grieder, was a three time state qualifier and State Champ. Fun time seeing familiar faces and showing some wrestling skills! Thank you Jeff Koerner for helping make this happen!

Freshman standout and two sport rockstar, Cieara Donald had a great freshman year. Cieara wrestled varsity going 13-8 on the season. She also ran track winning several races and a JV title. Keep up the hard work and keep chasing your dreams! Two sport athlete! 🫶🥇🤝💪🏻

Breaking News — Coach Kevin Wainscott, Bishop Lynch Class of 2005, gets inducted into the Bishop Lynch Hall of Fame! 4x State Champ, 2x All-American, Oklahoma State Cowboy 33-19 Individual Collegiate record, 2006 NCAA Championship Team. Huge Congrats to Coach Wainscott!

Pre-k student Tommy H. from MHE got to join the LHHS Wrestling team for a one of a kind wrestling experience. Tommy’s family won the auction bid at the Moss Haven Annual Auction for “an afternoon with the LHHS Westling Team”. He got to meet the coaches, tour the facilities, train with the team and even got a mini private lesson with state finalist Zac Fuller. Tommy is the future of our program, and the future is bright for LH Wrestling!

RISD board of trustees recognition for State qualifiers and Zac Fuller being an “Elite” all state recipient! Great work to all.

Great day hosting the Crutchmer classic inside the LHHS MAC. Big thanks to all who are involved and helped out! Our high school kids and kids wrestling got better today. Keep it up! 💪🏻🤼‍♂️
