Tip Tuesday : we hope that everyone had Very Merry Christmas! This week our tip comes from the book “The No Complaining Rule”. In the book the author offers a few steps to try and create a no complaining week. The Day 4 action is to “Focus on the Good Stuff.” The idea is to focus on everything that is right, rather than wrong. Focus on what others are doing right not wrong. Praise instead of criticize. Focus on what you get to do versus what you have to do! Try that exercise try saying I get to work out today not I have to workout today, I get to go to school not I have to go to school. This is a simple, but effective tool and we hope that you will give it a try.

Tip Tuesday: as we start a new ninja season we wanted to share some information from a study that was shared with us from our friends at . This information was taken from a study published in the international journal of higher education. The study “From the voice of athletes: Positive and Negative Aspects of Parent/Athlete Relationships”. We encourage all coaches and parents to check this out. The purpose of the study was to examine the perceptions of former youth sports athletes and their experiences with their parents during the time they were participating in youth sports. The survey group included 35% collegiate athletes. The full study is on our announcement clipboard if you want to check it out.
