The Blue Skies Team was at it again on October 7th at the Texas Gun Ranch near Terrell. Tom and Sam assisted the Team Inertia demo team with the opening ceremony for the Texas Valor Charity Shoot-Out. The team helped to raise $180,000 for veterans with TBI. Yahoo! AND a nice helicopter jump from 5500' to boot!

When 2 team members both reached the 5000 jump mark, the Blue Skies Team put together a fun jump to commemorate the event. Tom Schroder and Garth Harley, the 2 5000 jump team members, were assisted by team members Marc & Cassi McGahee, Matt McManus, Larry Henderson, Jim Brewster, and Scott Hamlin, along with team videographer, Dave Ryder on the skydive. The team jumped from 13, 500' to build a round formation, converted that to a diamond formation and tracked the diamond towards the horizon before breaking off to open our parachutes. Lots of smoke made the whole skydive visible to the spectators on the ground from exit to landing. Thanks to all who participated, and to Peter Kwon, our second video guy, for coming along to get still and video that included shooting Dave shooting the team.

Wichita Falls Airshow at Danaher Field was a great little airshow. Lots of friends and family in attendance as Mac McGreger put on an end-of-year show featuring great acts and good food! The Blue Skies Team opened and closed the show making 2 jumps in a little over an hour. The opening performance, with smoke, R/W/B streamers, and the US flag kicked off the show while the national anthem played. The 2nd jump, with purple smoke, a freefall show, yellow streamers and the POW/MIA flag closed the show. A great time was had by all! Thanks to Larry Henderson, Matt McManus, Tom Schroder, and our ground support, April Schreurs.
