There’s a side of competitive cheer and dance that doesn’t get talked about enough: the pressure, comparison, mean-girl behavior, team drama, parent dynamics, burnout, and confidence struggles.
I understand that world from both sides.
As a former competitive gym owner and athlete, I’ve personally experienced the challenges of the cheer and dance industry. After recently moving to DFW and returning to school for my second master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, I became even more passionate about supporting athletes and families through the mental and emotional side of youth sports.
I’m now offering private Cheer & Dance Mindset Coaching Sessions, available virtually through Zoom or in person in the DFW area.
Sessions may focus on:
• Confidence and self-esteem
• Social pressure and comparison
• Mental blocks and performance anxiety
• Burnout and motivation
• Parent-athlete communication
• Team drama and difficult gym environments
• Navigating the emotional side of competitive sports
These are not skill lessons. They’re a supportive space for athletes and parents to talk through the challenges that often happen behind the scenes, with someone who truly understands the industry.
My long-term goal is to build a practice centered around athlete and parent support once I complete my degree and licensure. For now, I’m excited to begin filling a gap I know exists.
If your athlete or family could benefit from support, send me a DM to learn more about Zoom and in-person sessions. 💛
