OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT - NAWA RING CHAMPIONS
HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP VACATED
Calhoun, GA - In a shocking turn of events at our last event, NAWA Ring Champions Heavyweight Champion Alexander Lev has officially relinquished the NAWA Heavyweight Championship.
After capturing the NAWA Tag Team Championships with his best friend Hollywood Hunter James, Lev was informed by promoter Phil Hefner that per NAWA Ring Champions bylaws, a competitor cannot hold both the Heavyweight Championship and the Tag Team Championship at the same time. He would have to choose.
After taking a few moments to consider, and consulting with his manager "The Boss" John Johnson, Alexander Lev made his decision.
Effective immediately, Alexander Lev has voluntarily vacated the NAWA Heavyweight Championship - the title he won back in March in a grueling Three-Way Dance against Drako Starks and Adam Jacobs - in order to remain one-half of the NAWA Tag Team Champions alongside Hollywood Hunter James.
We respect Lev's decision and his loyalty to his tag team partner. His reign as Heavyweight Champion will go down as one of the most dominant in recent history.

With the Heavyweight Championship now vacant, a NAWA Heavyweight Championship Title Tournament has been officially scheduled for our next event at The 365 in Calhoun, Georgia.
