Our professional instructors are committed to providing the expert training that is necessary for any dancer. Our state of the art dance studios are equiped with "sprung" dance floors and wall to wall mirrors. Our Pre-Ballet/ Creative Movement program was created to provide young children with their first exposure to structured movement ideas. Each class offers experiences in beginning rhythms, mu
sic, movement & exercise. . Our Ballet classes are extensive classes using classical music and they include barre, center work, and across the floor variations. Special attention is placed to proper placement and alignment of the body and ease and grace in movement. Modern Dance class includes a warm-up on the floor to make the students spine loose and articulate. Standing floor work develops strength, flexibility, balance and coordination. The development of spacial awareness and musicality is perfected by teaching the proper technique for leaps and turns. We offer Tap classes for all ages, from beginner to advanced. Our Tap classes range in style from classical tap to funk. Our Hip Hop classes are taught by Joshua Holmes. Josh has a way of making anyone feel like they want to dance. His classes are high energy, motivating & instructional...But most of all his classes are FUN! Josh teaches beginner thru advanced level dancers. We also offer classes in all levels of Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical & Musical Theater. The Dance Shop II also offers a wide variety of adult classes. Hip Hop, Tap, Ballet, Modern, Yoga, Ballet Body Bootcamp & Cardio-Zumba classes are all offered to adults in "adult only" classes. These classes are great for the beginner to advanced dancers.
