Speed & Agility Classes Begin Saturday, June 13th!
We're excited to kick off our Speed & Agility program this Saturday, June 13th.
At this time, we will be running one class at 9:30 AM, coached by two instructors.
If demand is high and age groups would benefit from being separated, we will add a second time as needed. If this happens, we'll provide notice and the schedule would be:
9:30 AM: 8th grade and younger
10:30 AM: High school athletes and those entering high school
Cost: $20 per athlete, per class.
We look forward to seeing everyone there!

For all that are interested in the Speed and Agility classes:
We’re pushing the start date of the Speed & Agility Classes back a few weeks.
We ran into some unexpected logistics with facility usage, and rather than rush into something that isn’t set up the right way, we’re taking the time to lock in a better location and structure.
This will allow us to:
-Secure the right space
-Finalize all documentation (COI, etc.)
-Avoid any scheduling conflicts
-And properly promote the classes
Details will be released once everything is fully confirmed.
I appreciate the patience...this will be worth the wait.
To everyone in the gym,
I came in this morning and found the leg extension machine pin broken because someone overloaded it with extra plates. I DO 110% APPRECIATE THE ISSUE BEING BROUGHT TO OUR IMMEDIATE ATTENTION!! I understand that this was not done with ill intention, but I’m going to be direct here: putting plates on selectorized machines does not make you look strong. It does not make you look hardcore. It tells me your programming is lacking, your intensity and order before that movement is lacking, or you do not understand how accessory work is supposed to be used.
The leg extension goes to 255 lbs. For MOST, if you can rep that out easily and still need more, then your legs are not fatigued enough before getting there, your exercise order is wrong and the movement should be placed later in your session, or you should be doing a different movement altogether.
Same goes for loading plates onto the adductor machine.
These are accessory machines. They are not meant to be overloaded like a squat, hack squat, or leg press.
And before anyone says otherwise, yes, there are a few members with specialty load pins who use them appropriately and sparingly. That is not the same as hanging random plates off machines and damaging equipment.
If you need more load or more challenge, we have more than enough options in this gym, aside from the many plate-loaded machines already available. To name JUST A FEW ways to pre-fatigue or increase challenge:
Quad-Dominant Options:
• Front squats
• Heel-elevated narrow stance squats
• Bulgarian split squats
• Split squats
• Short-step lunges
Adductor / Medial Chain Options:
• Cossack squats
• Lateral lunges
• Wide-stance squats
• Copenhagen planks
There is no excuse for breaking equipment because you are trying to make an accessory movement into an ego lift.
Respect the equipment. Respect the facility. Train intelligently.
As always, if anyone has any questions about programming, variations, or if you're looking for suggestions, ask. I'm not squandering away my 20+ years of training experience working with high level athletes...I'm here to help.
- Josh

We have a lot of new people coming in and out of the gym, along with many who have been with us for a while, and a few who have ridden out the last 13.5 years with us. So, we wanted to take a moment to remind you.
This is a photo of the inside of the building when we purchased it back in 2017. If you stand in our current lobby and look out into the machine room, you'll see the same support columns just painted black instead of green. We have put our heart and soul into this facility. We are constantly adjusting the space and adding new equipment to fit the evolving needs of our fitness community. Heck, we even opened a protein shake bar because Josh wanted a better option for our members. When you join our gym, you're literally a part of our livelihood, and we do everything we can to acknowledge that.
We have created, and continue to adjust, rules and regulations for our facility. We don't do this to just be jerks, even if some of you think that. We do this to create a space that all of our members feel welcome in, and to protect what we have created. We fully expect every member, personal training client, day pass attendees, or visitors of any kind to follow all of our posted rules and signage, including:
- Proper equipment use; if you're unsure, always ask
- Cleaning up after yourself and putting weights/equipment away in their proper location
- Cleaning up in bathrooms; throwing away trash, rinsing out sinks after things like shaving, etc
- Following parking restictions during the entirety of designated hours; you will be asked to move if you have chosen to ignore posted signs or create your own parking spots
These, along with any current or future posted rules, are ones that you agree to when you sign up at JPF. This gym is everything to us and we expect you to respect every aspect. Please keep in mind if you are approached about adherence to any of our rules, whether by owners Josh & Mikayla, our very friendly staff, or a fellow member, and decide now is the time to give your opinion and/or give an attitude, you may be asked to leave.
We want to keep this gym going far into the future. We appreciate you doing your part to help make that happen.

Hey All! We have a lot of new members join the gym community recently and wanted to remind everyone of the required appropriate footwear for your workouts.
Any type of clean sneaker is allowed whether its running, lifting, everyday, velcro, slip-on, laced-up, etc. If it has a flat bottom and covers your ENTIRE foot, you're good to go.
What is not allowed on the gym floor is any kind of sandal/slide, flats, slippers, crocs, boots, etc. This is both for your safety and the longevity of our equipment.
Also, please remember that if you are performing a lift in your socks, we ask that you do not walk around the gym without putting your shoes back on. One, because you could get hurt and two, because it's gross. Bare feet are NEVER allowed on the gym floor.
