Congratulations to Danville Dans alumni, Will Klein, the newest of four Dans to have World Series on their resume. Congrats to Will and to the Dodgers whose minor league team was the first team who played at Danville Stadium. Nice win Dodgers!

The Brooklyn Dodgers today purchased the contract of Jackie Roosevelt Robinson from the Montreal Royals. He will report immediately.

Jackie Robinson played at Danville Stadium with the Brooklyn Dodgers on June 20, 1947 where the Dodgers beat the Danville Dodgers 14-7 before a packed crowd of 6,052.
