Cody Clubb Scores Breakthrough First Career Feature Victory at Wi******er Speedway
WI******ER, Ind. (September 6, 2026) Cody Clubb etched his name into track history on Sunday, putting on a dominant, wire-to-wire performance to capture his first career Mid-Am Racing Series feature victory at Wi******er Speedway during the Richard's 40 presented by Woodhouse Collision Centers.
The action-packed day kicked off with speed on full display in qualifying, where Timmy Stewart set the tone early by shattering the track record with a blistering lap of 17.490 seconds.
When the green flag dropped for the main event, front row starters Cameron Vandermeir and Cody Clubb surged into turn one, with Clubb seizing control early to lead lap one. As Clubb set the pace out front, intense battles erupted throughout the top ten. Stewart was on a mission from the back, slicing his way through the field from his 10th place starting position up to 4th.
The fast-paced momentum was disrupted on lap 21 when a caution flew for a multi-car incident involving Rookie of the Year candidates Keelen Arnold and Matt Lee.
The stoppage erased Clubb's advantage and bunched up the field for a mid-race restart, but the leader executed flawlessly to retain the top spot. A final caution set up a dramatic finish with just nine laps remaining, bringing last year’s feature winner, Scotty Gardner Jr., right to Clubb’s inside. Undaunted by the pressure, Clubb drove hard into turn one, pulled ahead on the high line, and held off all charges to take the checkered flag.
