Tenacious Bee Family Reunion was a SUCCESS!! It was a beautiful Saturday, the Bees were together, and we raced/ran well!! It was THE BEST DAY… so it gets multiple posts!!

Please enjoy these highlights from the Legacy Races!! We ran a 50m dash for Future Bees 5 and under, an 800 for 10 and under year, and a mile for 13 and under!

IT WAS SO MUCH FUN!!! They all ran their very best!! Some of them were a little tired from cheering on mom or dad - but they persisted, as Tenacious Bees do, and finished with solid runs.

Jansen has them all scouted and marked as 5-Star runners on the recruiting lists for Falls ‘32-‘43. These are some Future Bees to watch!

We, the current team, had so much fun giving these future Bees a little taste of all of the best parts of cross country!! SAUXC Alumni - make sure to sign your Legacy Runner up next year!!

LEWIS EARLY BIRD INVITATIONAL UPDATE: These Bees ran INCREDIBLY in very unreasonable conditions. Hopefully this was our only time running on the SURFACE OF THE SUN in 2026 but these were the conditions on Saturday.

The Bees made smart choices and prioritized safety over aggressive race strategy. Top to bottom every Bee put everything they had into the race and we had very good results. Kaitlyn Knoche had the highest finish of the meet with 8th place. We are looking forward to cooler days ahead!!

2026 SAUXC regular season schedule!!! The season is upon us. It was SO FUN to kick it off with our SECOND EVER ALUMNI REUNION! We have our eyes on ending it at the NAIA National Championships on November 20 in Fort Vancouver, WA.

A few new meets in the rotation- including our first HAAC Championship which will be hosted by Baker on November 7 in Baldwin, KS. 

We hope to see you all out on the course!! 🐝🔥

Congratulations to 2012 SAUTF LEGEND, and 2xNAIA All-American, Mandy (Streu) Steiger on her induction into the St. Ambrose Athletics Hall of Fame!! Mandy helped rewrite the record books in her time here at SAU which raised the bar for what success could look like for the Bees. We are so proud of everything she did in the jersey, in the classroom, and as teammate. Congratulations, Mandy!
